them after a comfortable home victory over Verona. Roma suffer their first
defeat of the season, away to Inter and Malesani triumphs in a battle of the
inept coaches as Parma defeat Milan.

Rossini 38
D Zenoni 45
Ventola 93

Rossini gave Atalanta the lead with a looping header. Damiano Zenoni added
a second before half time with a superb strike from a free kick. Verona
employed the Zeman/Capello offside trap to perfect, standing still with
their arms raised while Ventola ran onto Damiano's pass and scored his second
of the season.

Assists : Donati, Siviglia, D Zenoni

Rui Costa 30 Masinga 67
Nuno Gomes 87 Cassano 80

Leandro juggled a ball in the box, touched it back for Rui Costa who cracked a
low volley inside the post. Phil Masinga came on as a sub and scored the
equaliser, heading in Madsen's cross. Bari took the lead against the run of
play, Cassano sweeping Masinga's centre past Toldo. Nuno Gomes headed
Fiorentina level but Bari hung on for a point.

Del Piero 78 (Pen) Sosa 23, 68

Zanchi slid in to make a tackle but the ball spun up to Sosa who headed
past Van der Sar. Van der Sar then did his best Ed De Goey impression,
slicing a back pass straight to Muzzi but he made a mess of the chance. Juve
should have been awarded a penalty when Sottil held back Inzaghi in the box.
Surprisingly Inzaghi didn't protest, obviously not used to being awarded
penalties for legitimate fouls. Juve's defence gifted Udinese a second, despite
having men back, they stood around with their fingers up their backsides as
Sosa, unmarked in front of goal, tapped in Jorgensen's cross. Del Piero
converted a penalty awarded for handball.

Attendance : 40,000
Assist : Jorgensen

S Inzaghi 33 (Pen), 78 Hubner 4 (Pen)

England fans were given an early warning of Eriksson's inept tactics when
he decided to field Fernando 'The Donkey' Couto in defence. Couto didn't
disappoint, he slipped while trying to catch Turkylmaz and then gave the
Swiss striker a love tap on the thigh, penalty. Hubner converted twice, not
sure why the ref disallowed the first. Inzaghi Jr maintained his family
tradition, apparently his mother also goes down a lot, dive in the box,
penalty. Inzaghi scored the winner, getting the faintest of touches to
Ravanelli's shot.

Attendance : 45,000
Assists : Turkylmaz, S Inzaghi, Ravanelli

Vugrinec 74 Fresi 68 (Pen)

Having missed an open goal Napoli were gifted a penalty for 'handball'. Fresi
converted. Vugrinec equalised with a brilliant free kick.

Mazzantini performed heroics in goal for the away team and Perugia were set
for a point until Collina decided to award a penalty for a 50-50 challenge
outside the box, Kallon converted.

PARMA 2-0 MILAN
Mboma 4, 66

A beautiful disguised pass from Micoud opened up Milan's defence, admittedly
it's not exactly a difficult thing to do, Mboma scored. Micoud and Conceicao
combined for Parma's second, headed in by Mboma. Milan's only chance came
from Shevchenko, but Buffon was equal to his header.

Assists : Micoud, Conceicao
