Buffon made a brilliant point blank save from Batistuta's header. Iuliano was
sent off for two bookable offences - a body check and late foul on Cafu. Buffon
parried a 35yd Batistuta free kick. Delvecchio took out Thuram when he cut
inside from the left, he's the best in the World at doing that, knocked a ball to
Batistuta and with an open goal at his mercy his shot was blocked by Pessotto.
Pessotto deserved man of the match for that alone, it was the only moment of
qualify in the entire game. Roma should have been awarded a penalty when
Paramatti tried to remove Panucci from his shirt.

Atalanta had two goals dissalowed for offisde.

Tarantino swung the ball into the box from a corner, Ventola and Georgatos
were stood on the line. I still can't figure out what they were trying to do
but they got a good view of Pecchia putting the ball into the net. Sorondo
failed to cut out a long ball, Cruz stole the ball off Materazzi before he
could clear and passed to Zauli. He cut inside Vivas before smashing the
ball past Toldo. Vieri, who was superbly shackled thourought the match,
helped on a ball to Seedorf who jinked his way past a few defenders before
screwing his shot into the corner.

Guidolin is a fantastic coach.

Giacomazzi headed in from a Chevanton corner. Frick raced onto a long
ball from Cannavaro before unleashing a brilliant shot into the roof of
the net from a tight angle.

Shevchenko conned the ref into awarding a penalty. He's become increasingly
frustarted in recent weeks and is taking every opportunity to dive in the box.
Sad. Serginho took the spot kick and knocked the ball past Cordoba. There was
bad news for Milan mid-way through the first half when Ambrosini, probably 
the only player capable of helping the team get a Champions League place,
re-injured his knee. Perugia equalised early in the second half after Milan failed
to clear a corner. Perugia's latest discovery, Grosso, sent a wicked cross into
the box, Baiocco flicked the ball on and Bazzani headed in from close range.

Desite a gift from the ref and two non red cards Milan still couldn't get
the points. Ancelotti will be the next Serie A coach to get the sack, I hope.

Crespo missed a glorious chance after good work by Lopez on a counter
attack. Lazio were punished minutes later when an exquisite first time pass
from Sukur took out the entire Lazio defence and Di Vaio just managed
to lift the ball over Peruzzi.

Sommese split Toro's defence with a stunning through pass and the Boss hit
an equally stunning first time shot past Bucci. 10 minutes later Lucarelli
smashed a free kick into the wall, the ball broke for Ferrante and his instant
turn and shot beat Guardalben.

Maniero headed on a corner to Magallanes and despite getting the ball caught
in his feet he recovered and  shot into the corner. Ball watching cost Fiorentina
a second goal. Magallanes picked out Maniero with a delightfuly cross to the back
post and he nonchantly tapped the ball into the net.

From a free kick Pizzaro blasted the ball goalwards and Kroldrup's touch
took the ball past Lupatelli. Udinese scored a marvellous second on the
counter attack. Martinez sprayed the ball wide to Muzzi as the Chievo
defence, yes, you guessed it, tried to play offside. Muzzi cut in from the
left and whipped the ball into the top corner, great goal. Cossato held
off Kroldrup to score a consolation goal a minute before full time.
