six goal thriller. A controversial goal from Pippo Inzaghi sends Milan clear
top of Serie A.

Mezzano 61 (Pen) Natali 14

This match from Round 13 was originally cancelled I believe to weather
conditions ironically they were no better this time round. The pitch was
covered in a blanket of snow which continued to fall throughout the
match. Natali Gave Atalanta the lead with a header from Doni's free
kick. Mezzano equalised from the spot after Ferrante was pulled back
by Siviglia.

Assists : Doni (free kick), Ferrante (won pen)

Horrendous match.

Schopp 78
Tare 84

Baggio flashed a volley wide of the post. Di Vaio blew a glorious chance
when he headed wide following a superb run and cross from one of the
buys of the season, Camoranesi. Schopp's half volley bounced off the
crossbar. Pisano lobbed a cross into the box, Ferrara jumped, missed the
ball, and Schopp headed into the net. Schopp also started the move which
lead to Brescia's second. He won a ball deep in his own half and sent away
Appiah. Appiah got a second chance to cross after Thuram cut out his first
attempt, he found Tare unmarked at the back post and the big Albanian
volleyed over Buffon. Matuzalem was sent off for what has unfortunately for
him become a trademark moment of stupidity, having kicked Nedved in
the first half he tried it again, Nedved grabbed his leg then Matuzalem
retaliated by pulling his head.

Attendance : 25,000
Assists : Pisano, Appiah
Red Card : Matuzalem 88 (Brescia)

Sculli 73 Bjelanovic 88

Ferron went up to claim the ball from a corner, dropped it and Sculli
headed in. Ferron made up for his earlier mistake when he saved
brilliantly from Sculli. Bjelanovic headed in the equaliser minutes
after coming on as a substitute.

Attendance : 13,407
Assist : Binotto

Adriano 57, 80

Zico (coach of Japan) was in the stands to watch Nakata and Namakura
in this derby match but fellow Brazilian Adriano stole the headlines.
He ran onto a ball as Mutu was fouled on the edge of the box and with
a typical Hasselbaink style finish hit a hard shot which the 'keeper could
only parry into the net. He smashed in a second from a Mutu centre.

Attendance : 13,000
Assists : Mutu (x2)

Both teams hit the woodwork.

Attendance : 6,000

Pizarro 16 (Pen) Vanucchi 23
Iaquinta 91 (Pen)

Pizarro slammed home a penalty awarded when Lucchini HELD the ball
in the box. Vanucchi finished off a nice move involving Grella and
Rocchi to equalise. Berti made a string of fantastic saves only for Cappellini
to piss away the points with another mindless handball in the box.

Attendance : 15,000
Assist : Rocchi

7 December 2002

MILAN 1-0 ROMA
Inzaghi 73

A poor match played on a terrible pitch. The San Siro needs
relaying again. Inzaghi scored after handling a Shevchenko header.
Batistuta made the miss of the season when he shot wide from 6 yds
with the goal at his mercy. Antonioli pulled off a phenomenal point
blank save from a Shevchenko header. Redondo made his debut for
Milan over 2 years after signing.

Attendance : 67,786
Assist : Shevchenko

Lopez 10 (Pen), 30, 36 Couto 37 (og)
						Emre 66, 75

Lopez converted a penalty awarded for handball. On the half hour
mark he made it 2-0 with a tap after the Inter defence stood appealing
for offside when Stankovic miss-hit a shot. Pasquale gifted Lopez his
hat-trick when he failed to clear a routine long ball. Lopez kept doing
a stupid dance from that Las Ketchup song after every goal. Inter pulled
a goal back immediately, Crespo headed Recoba's wicked cross against
the crossbar and the ball cannoned off Couto past Peruzzi. Emre made it
3-2 with a sumptuous lob from 20yds and equalised with another cracking
shot from distance. Vieri blew another great chance and Crespo headed
against the crossbar. Couto should have been sent off for kicking
Cannavaro in the back of the head.

Game of the season so far.

Attendance : 60,000
Assists : Stankovic (x2), ?, Recoba
