SERIE A ROUND 32

10 May 2003

BOLOGNA 0-2 LAZIO
								S Inzaghi 45 (Pen)
								Favalli 59

Lazio completely dominated the first half but had to wait until Paramatti gave them
a penalty before taking the lead. Favalli added to Inzaghi's penalty following a
Claudio Lopez led counter attack.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Inzaghi (won pen), Lopez

BRESCIA 1-0 MILAN
Appiah 84

Like neighbours Inter, Milan fielded a weakened side ahead of the European
derby, even Roque Junior got a game! About as exciting as Brescia games go.
Appiah won the match with an excellent goal. He controlled Tare's long ball
with his right foot then swept a left foot volley past Dida.

Appiah is thought to be a target for Roma. It's about time he started to fulfil
his massive potential.

Attendance : 20,000
Assists : Tare

COMO 2-4 CHIEVO
Amoruso 52 Franceschini 11, 41
Caccia 83 Luciano 21
								Bjelanovic 47

Franceschini sent Chievo on the way with a superb left foot strike. Luciano scored
his first goal since returned from suspension for the passport fiasco, Pellisier’s
strong run leaving him with a tap-in. Franceschini's second was even better than his
first, he watched Corini's corner kick sailed to the edge of the box and hit a
sweet left foot volley into the net, fantastic goal. Chievo's fourth wasn't bad either.
Bjelanovic headed on a long ball, the brilliant Pellisier, he's like Dugarry but er
good, returned the ball with a volleyed pass and Bjelanovic hit a low volley past
Brunner. A dodgy passive offside gave Como their first consolation goal. A shot
rebounded off Caccia, who was standing in an offside position, and Amoruso put
away the rebound. By this time Chievo had lost interest in defending and gave up
another irrelevant goal.

Attendance : 4,000
Assists : Luciano, Pellisier, Corini (ck), Pellisier, Caccia, Pecchia

EMPOLI 0-0 ATALANTA

Victoria Silvestedt was on Rai today looking simply divine and she wasn't wearing
a bra. Marvellous.

Attendance : 10,000

INTER 1-1 PARMA
Kallon 36 Mutu 63

Adriano came within inches of scoring against his former and future club when his
lob came back off the crossbar. Martins and Kallon missed absolute sitters before
they both inadvertently combined to give Inter the lead. Christiano Zanetti's attempted
through pass bounced off Martins and Kallon shot past another former Inter player,
Frey. Inter kept missing chances. Martin shot straight at Frey and Christiano Zanetti
blazed over the bar with the goal at his mercy. Martins somehow managed to shoot
against the post when clean through on goal. Adriano got to the by-line, muscled his
way past two Inter players and cut the ball back for Mutu to score. Bonera almost
stole the points but the crossbar came to Inter's rescue.

Some of best football Inter have played all season. Hopefully this was a fluke
performance.

Attendance : 30,000
Assists : Martins, Adriano

JUVENTUS 2-2 PERUGIA
Trezeguet 25 (Pen) Miccoli 36
Di Vaio 46 Grosso 92

Vryzas and Ze Maria missed two absolute sitters before Di Vaio tumbled in the box
under minimal contact from Di Loreto. Trezeguet converted the penalty. Miccoli
equalised with a fantastic first time shot. He packs a hell of a shot. Unfortunately
no one else at the club can shoot. Vryzas and Tedesco spurned further chances to
score.

In the first minute of the second half Di Vaio scored a fantastic goal. He ran onto
a pass, made his way into the box and jinked past two players before finding
the bottom corner. Having scored such a great goal he made a mess of two more
chances. Grosso's late volley wasn't enough to deny a Juventus side playing terrible
football a record 27th Championship.

Three Championships for Nedved. He's by far the best foreigner to grace Serie A
since Savicevic.

Attendance : 40,000
Assists : Di Vaio (won pen), Ze Maria, ?, Ze Maria

PIACENZA 2-2 REGGINA
Hubner 72, 74 Di Michele 68
								Mozart 76

Bonazzoli flicked on a long ball for Di Michele to volley over Guardalben.
The remaining goals, all headers, came inside 4 minutes. Piacenza will probably
be relegated next week leaving Reggina and Atalanta to fight for Serie A survival.

Attendance : 6,500
Assists : Bonazzoli, Baiocco, Patrascu, ? (ck)

ROMA 3-1 TORINO
Cassano 32, 61 Frezza 78
De Rossi 55

The rapidly improving Cassano headed Roma into a deserved lead just past the
half hour mark. Another of Roma's gifted youngsters got on the score sheet,
a stunning 35yd strike gave 19 year old De Rossi scored his first ever Serie A goal.
Tommasi pressed a defender into loosing possession then centred for Cassano's
second. Another Pelizzoli gaff gave Torino a consolation game.

Roma need a new goalkeeper. Their attack is going to be something else. How does
Cassano, Ibrahimovic and Totti sound? Mark down Cassano as an early candidate
for star or Euro 2004.

Attendance : 52,000
Assists : Lima (x2), Tommasi

UDINESE 2-1 MODENA
Pizarro 42 (Pen) Kamara 39
Muzzi 61

Kamara ran onto Colucci's deft back heel, rounded De Sanctis and poked the ball
into an empty net. Pizarro thundered a penalty past Ballotta. Muzzi headed in a
free kick. There was an amazing sequence of misses following Muzzi's goal. The officials
must have forgotten the basics of offside as Vignarolli looked miles off when he
pulled down a long ball, he shot against the inside of the post, the ball rebounded
to Mauri and he almost shattered the crossbar with a devastating shot and Sensini
charged down the follow-up. Modena's goal was also subjected to fearful abuse,
first Jancker volleyed against the crossbar and Pizarro blasted against the post on
the rebound. The ref spared the goals further punishment when he blew for full time.

For all intents and purposes Modena are safe. Udinese will probably cap off what has been
a marvellous second half of the season by claiming a UEFA Cup place.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Colucci, Jorgensen (won pen), Pizarro (fk)
Red Card : Cevoli 90 (Modena)
