throw away a two goal lead for the second week in a row.

6 OCTOBER 2002

ATALANTA 0-1 LAZIO
						Cesar 24

Cesar skipped a tackle and sent Stankovic racing down on the left, Stankovic ran
into the box, hit a reverse pass into Cesar and he drilled a left foot shot into the
corner. Castroman went close from 20yds. Mihajlovic forced Taibi into a great
save from a free kick. Atalanta, without Doni, failed to trouble Lazio.

Attendance : 15,000
Assist : Stankovic

CHIEVO 2-0 MODENA
Franceschini 31
Corini 47 (Pen)

Franceschini gave Chievo the lead when his close range volley deflected in off
Ponzo. Ponzo also gave away the penalty. Modena had a ton of chances, as
ou would expect against the Chievo defence, but failed to capitalise.

Attendance : 15,600
Assist : Franceschini (won pen)

EMPOLI 0-0 BOLOGNA

What a bloody awful game.

Attendance : 6,600

JUVENTUS 1-1 COMO
Zalayeta 87 Pecchia 65

Salas volleyed against the underside of the crossbar. Trezeguet failed to trouble
Brunner with acrobatic volleys. Como scored with their only worthwhile attack.
Godeas' cross was missed by the Juve defence, it bounced off Binotto's heel
and former Juventino Pecchia slammed past Buffon. Stellini made a fantastic
block on Trezeguet to deny a certain goal. Bench warmer Zalayeta equalised
with a bullet header from a Zenoni cross. Como miraculously survived a late
penalty call after Trezeguet went down in the box. If Del Piero had went down
it would have been given.

Nedved was missing for Juve. Anyone who thinks their good start to the season
was down to Del Piero is sadly mistaken, Nedved runs this team.

Attendance : 37,100
Assists : Binotto, Zenoni

MILAN 6-0 TORINO
Pirlo 21 (Pen)
Inzaghi 31, 79, 86
Serginho 41
Fattori 83 (og)

Milan were awarded a penalty when Comotto pulled down Inzaghi. Pirlo
converted. Serginho missed a sitter from an Inzaghi cross. Seedorf and
Serginho combined on the left, Serginho ghosted past a defender before
pulling the ball to the back post and Inzaghi finished clinically, as he has been
doing all season. Serginho put Milan 3-0 up when he pounced on a deflected
clearance, waltzed past two defenders and toe poked into the corner.

Rui Costa played a short corner to Seedorf, he crossed into the box and Inzaghi
volleyed in his second, off his knee. Rui Costa's rapid pass took a wicked
deflection off Fattori and looped over Bucci. Inzaghi completed his hat-trick
when he headed in Kaladze's cross. There was a suspicion of offside, Lucarelli
protested and managed to talk himself into an early bath.

Rivaldo and Tomasson were injured and Inzaghi was half fit so Ancelotti decided
to partner him with Serginho in attack. The second six goal victory the Brazilian
has been involved with during his Serie A career, the first of course a 0-6 derby
victory over Inter. At this moment in time Milan are the most spectacular team
in Europe.

Attendance : 60,000
Assists : Inzaghi (won pen), Serginho, Seedorf, Kaladze
Red Card : Lucarelli 87 (Torino)

PARMA 2-2 PERUGIA
Mutu 19 Tedesco 64, 72
Donati 53

Parma took the lead minutes after midget Miccoli wasted a glorious
opportunity. Nakata hit a 50yd pass to Mutu wide right on goal, Mutu turned
Di Loreto inside out, dribbled past a couple of players and stroked the ball
into the corner. Donati, on loan from Milan and thankfully shorn of that
ridiculous haircut, put Parma 2-0 up with a well taken half volley following
good work by Nakata and Brighi. Frey made an absolutely breathtaking save
from a Milanese header. Miccoli skinned Bonera on the left wing, cut inside
the box, ridiculed Benarrivo, who has NO BUSINESS playing in Serie A,
and a laid a goal on a plate for Tedesco. Gresko, under pressure from Fusani?
made another of his calamitous mistakes when he headed Miccoli's corner kick
towards his own goal, Frey parried the ball but was helpless when Tedesco
went airborne and slammed an overhead kick into the net.

Attendance : 14,000
Assists : Nakata, Brighi, Miccoli

PIACENZA 1-4 INTER
Maresca 73 Di Biagio 36, 51
						Recoba 69
						Crespo 85

Di Biagio headed Inter into the lead via a deflection off Riccio's arse. An
absolutely sensational pass from Recoba gave Di Biagio a second. Fontana
made excellent saves from Hubner, Maresca and Riccio. Hubner was sent off
for giving verbal to the linesman. Crespo blew a one on one against Guardalben.
Recoba lobbed over Guardalben for the third. Maresca pulled one back with a
stunning 35yd free kick before Crespo opened his league account with a header.

Piacenza had way too many chances. Inter's defence was appalling.

Attendance : 15,500
Assists : Recoba, Crespo, Montano (won fk), Recoba

5 OCTOBER 2002

ROMA 4-1 UDINESE
Montella 24 Sensini 59
Batistuta 75
Totti 80, 89

Old man Sensini scored the first two goals. He inadvertently gave Roma the
lead when Montella's shot took a wicked deflection off him and scored a fluke
equaliser with another deflection, off a Pizzaro free kick. Another past it
Argentinean, Batistuta, restored Roma's lead when he headed in a free kick.
Totti scored Roma's third from an offside position. Jancker missed an open goal,
again. Batistuta clipped a short pass into the box, Totti flicked the ball up with
his head, turned and volleyed past De Sanctis. Fantastic goal.

Assists : Pizarro (fk), Candela (fk), Emerson, Batistuta

REGGINA 2-2 BRESCIA
Pierini 43 Appiah 10
Nakamura 80 Baggio 45 (Pen)

Appiah slammed in Schopp's center. Pierini headed Reggina level from a
beautifully flighted Rastelli cross. Tare won another penalty with a 100%
blatant dive, he's the best in the World. Baggio converted from the spot.
Nakamura equalised with an AWESOME free kick.

Assists : Schopp, ?, Tare (won pen), ?
