SERIE A ROUND 23

29 February 2004

LAZIO 0-1 MILAN
							Ambrosini 75

Awful match. Lazio failed to do anything with the 101 corners they won. Neither 'keeper was
tested. Lazio had several penalty appeals turned down, one of which was legit for handball
on a Mihajlovic free kick. Milan scored the winner shortly after the abysmal Rui Costa was
substituted. Cafu beautiful took Pirlo's raking pass inside Favalli, Seedorf chipped the ball
upto the far post and Ambrosini's powerful diving header flew past Peruzzi.

Lazio had been very cocky after beating Milan's reserves in the Coppa Italia and the media
made a big deal of that as well. As if that was a measure of how Lazio would do against the
first team, twats. Obviously it wasn't. A draw would have been a fair result.

Attendance : 65,000
Assist : Seedorf

INTER 1-3 BRESCIA
Stankovic 48 Caracciolo 68
							Del Nero 73
							Helveg 81 (og)

It started well but then so did last week. Anyway Stankovic volleyed in after Brescia failed to
clear a cross. Caracciolo just reached Del Nero's pass before Toldo but was floored as he
lifted the ball into the net. The Inter defence ball watched as Del Nero headed in Matuzalem's
cross and Caracciolo's header deflected in off Helveg. It was all too much for recent signing
Stankovic as he brought down Del Nero to earn a second yellow card. I bet he wishes he was
still at Lazio.

Attendance : 45,000
Assists : Del Nero, Matuzalem
Red Card : Stankovic 87 (Inter)

JUVENTUS 3-0 ANCONA
Camoranesi 7
Miccoli 41
Del Piero 48

The World's ugliest man Camoranesi gave Juve a seventh minute lead with a spectacular half
volley. Ancona surprisingly created several chances before they were hit on the break. Miccoli
and Tacchinardi combined to give Del Piero a goal before he was subbed for youngster
Chiumento.

Attendance : 28,670
Assists : Di Vaio, Tacchinardi

LECCE 1-0 MODENA
Chevanton 23 (Pen)

Zancope tried to bail out a defender who put him in shit creek with a hospital pass, Tonetto
lobbed over him and was chopped down as he tried to go past. Zancope was lucky to get away
with just a yellow card. Chevanton despatched the pen to notch his 13th of the season. A fight broke
out after Limbersky kicked Tonetto AFTER the ref had already blown for an earlier foul on him -
he only got a yellow card. Weak officiating from De Santis.

Attendance : 14,600
Assist : Tonetto (won pen)

PARMA 1-4 ROMA
Gilardino 30 Cassano 44
							Emerson 52
							Totti 70
							Mancini 76

Gilardino scored an absolutely fantastic goal. Side on goal he took one to flick up a pass
another to volley over Pelizzoli. Cassano equalised right on half time, once again showing
tremendous touch to control a cross from Totti before rounding Frey and shooting into
the net. Another super move put Roma in front. Totti back heeled to Emerson, he played
a one-two with Dacourt then poked the ball beyond Frey. Totti blasted in a free kick
and Mancini put the seal on another spectacular performance with a tap-in from a rebound.

Attendance : 21,000
Assists : Marchionni, Totti, Dacourt, Mancini (won fk)

PERUGIA 4-2 BOLOGNA
Ravanelli 32 Bellucci 62, 86
Codrea 68
Ze Maria 75 (Pen)
Fresi 84 (Pen)

Having waited 22 weeks for their first win, Perugia made it two in a row. Ravanelli picked himself
off the turf to convert a free kick, his finish was superb. A brilliantly worked move gave Bologna
the equaliser but Codrea restored Perugia's lead when his speculative shot caught out Pagliuca at
his near post. Dalla Bonna was sent off for ploughing through Brienza. Perugia's second penalty
was bollocks, converted by Fresi. Bellucci scored his second with a free kick. Bothroyd missed
Perugia's THIRD penalty, awarded for handball.

Attendance : 7,000
Assists : Ravanelli (won fk), Pecchia, Ze Maria, Brienza (won pen), Manfredini (won pen), ? won fk
Red Cards : Dalla Bona 73 (Bologna)

SAMPDORIA 1-0 CHIEVO
Diana 50

Four minutes after coming on for Marchegiani, Frezzolini went to collect Cipriani's knock down,
missed and Diana scored. There's a reason he is the reserve 'keeper.

Attendance : 20,000
Assist : Cipriani

EMPOLI 2-0 UDINESE
Busce 22
Cribari 41

Shortly after Balli made an incredible save from Iaquinta's superbly struck half volley Busce
headed Empoli into the lead from a corner. Vanucchi's free kick deflected in off Cribari
to give Empoli what was, on the balance of play, a deserved second goal.

Attendance : 4,000
Assist : Vanucchi (ck)

SIENA 0-0 REGGINA

Yes, whatever.

Attendance : 10,000
