REGGINA 0-1

MILAN

Zamboni 38 (og)

Seedorf hit a blind pass into the box and Zamboni sliced the ball over his goalkeeper.
Kaka' smacked a Reggina player in the face earlier in the build up. Dida was quick
to snuff out any danger and was in the right place on the only occasion Reggina had
a clear shot on goal. Milan wasted three great chances on the break.

BOLOGNA 1-1

PALERMO

Tare 75

Toni 34

Toni leapt above three defenders and Pagliuca to head Palermo into the lead.
Bologna equalised on the break. Tare started the move with a beautiful reverse pass
on the turn out wide to Bellucci on the half way line, he continued his run forward
and met the midget's cross with a diving header.

Attendance : 21,000
Red Cards : Sussi 27 (Bologna), Morrone 68 (Palermo)
Assists : Corini (ck), Bellucci

BRESCIA 2-0

CAGLIARI

Zoboli 5
Caracciolo 91

While Cagliari were struggling to clear from a corner Zoboli controlled the ball with his
arm twice before blasted in a volley on the turn, all in full view of the referee
De Marco. Messina's crooked officiating continued, he sent off Budel for an apparent
foul on diving rubbish Sculli. Di Biagio hit an excellent first time pass upto the back
post and Caracciolo sprung the offside trap to head in Brescia's second.

Attendance : 9,000
Red Card : Budel 54 (Cagliari)
Assists : n/a, Di Biagio

FIORENTINA 2-1

PARMA

Chiellini 47

Gilardino 84

Miccoli 81

Shades of Van Basten on the first goal. Chiellini hit the most extraordinary left foot
half volley from a wide angle inside the box, the ball was struck with such velocity
that Frey didn't have time to blink. Miccoli exchanged passes with Pazzini on the
edge of the area before rounding Frey and tapping into an empty net. Gilardino
headed in a late consolation goal.

Attendance : 30,000
Assists : Donadel, Pazzini, Vignaroli

JUVENTUS 2-1

UDINESE

Ibrahimovic 38 seconds

Di Michele 92

Camoranesi 49

Udinese's pathetic record against Juve continued. Emerson hit a long ball over the
top, Ibrahimovic ran between two defenders and steered the ball past De Sanctis.
After initially miss-controlling a pass from Del Piero, Camoranesi hammered the ball
into the top corner. Udinese were screwed by some offside calls but did grab a late
consolation thanks to more dodgy 'keeping from Buffon.

Attendance : 20,632
Assists : Emerson, Del Piero, Di Natale

LECCE 3-0

CHIEVO

Konan 27

Valdes 74
Vucinic 77

But for their 21 year old goalkeeper Rosati (playing for the suspended Sicignano)
Chievo would have been out of sight inside the first 20 minutes. Konan jumped
between two defenders to head Lecce into the lead. Shortly after Pellissier missed
a great chance to equalise Marchegiani punched Valdes' speculative shot into his
own net. Three minutes Cassetti hit a brilliant 70 yard pass upto Vucinic and as
Marchegiani rushed off his line the striker leapt in the air and lobbed into an empty
net.

SIENA 2-2

MESSINA

Chiesa 47 (fk)

Di Napoli 5

Chiumiento 83

Parisi 67 (Pen)

After a Siena player smashed the ball against Tudor when trying to clear from a
corner, Rezai flicked the ball in the air and volleyed on the turn, Di Napoli, who was
standing offside, headed past Manninger. Di Napoli ran through on goal, Portonova
gave him a push in the back, red card. Chiesa won a free kick on the edge of the box
and fired a low shot through a gap in the wall to equalise. Iliev's tumble also
rewarded, with a penalty. Parisi put Messina back in front before on loan Juve
midfielder Chiumiento received a pass from D'Aversa, flicked the ball over a defender
and then flicked over the 'keeper.

Attendance : 7,000
Red Cards : Portanova 25 (Siena)
Assists : Rezai, Chiesa (won fk), Iliev (won pen), D'Aversa

LAZIO 2-1

ATALANTA

Bazzani 45

Makinwa 44

Liverani 88

Peruzzi was subbed just before the half hour mark, I think he hurt his back making a
save. I'm surprised that doesn't happen more often. Makinwa beat him with a header
from a corner. Taibi gave away the lead a minute later when he ran to the edge of
his box to punch clear a long ball, unfortunately for him Bazzani was standing in his
way and headed into an empty net. Taibi injured himself and was replaced by
Calderoni. Liverani scored a late, deserved winner, when he was allowed time to
control a cross and fired into a corner.

INTER 2-0

ROMA

Mihajlovic 23, 92 (fks)

Not much to say other than both of Mihajlovic's free kicks were absolutely
brilliant, especially the second. He missed the chance to take three free kicks
when losing a game of stone, paper, scissors to Adriano mid way through the
second half.

Attendance : 61,116
Red Card : Mexes 92 (Roma)
Assists : Adriano (won fk), Martins (won fk)
