ATALANTA 2-1

MESSINA

Adriano 48

Zampagna 37

Bernardini 53

Zampagna collected a clearance and from the edge of the box dug the ball out of his
feet and shot past Calderoni. The ball may have taken a deflection. Adriano equalised
with a superb header and five minutes later Bernardini drilled the ball inside a post
after Makinwa laid off Budan's pass.

Atalanta are still three points adrift but have the 'easiest' run-in as they face
relegation threatened Fiorentina (A), Roma (H) and Siena (A).

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : n/a, Motta, Makinwa

BRESCIA 0-3

INTER

Martins 55, 66

Vieri 91

Castelazzi made a series of brilliant first half saves before Inter finally took a deserved
lead in the second half on a counter attack. Martins intercepted a cross and passed to
Veron. Veron played a 50 yard one-two with Adriano before running into traffic so he
flicked a bouncing ball to Martins and he finally beat Brescia's 'keeper. Martins blasted
in a second  after Di Biagio, under pressure from Karagounis, inadvertently passed
him the ball. Brescia caught the Inter defence out three times with balls over the top
but couldn't finish. Martins held off Domizzi before laying on a third for Vieri.

FIORENTINA

Mandelli 86

Miccoli 43

Bojinov 79

Miccoli shot Fiorentina into the lead with a magnificent free kick. He touched the ball
to Odobo then hit a right foot shot from around 30 yards which flew over and around
the wall before crashing in off the underside of the crossbar. Maggio headed on
Obodo's cross and Bojinov smacked in a volley. Cossato headed on a free kick,
Lupatelli hesitated when coming off his line allowing Mandelli to pull back a goal.
Fiorentina survived a late penalty appeal to climb out of the relegation zone.

Attendance : 20,236
Assists : Odobo, Maggio, Cossato

LIVORNO 3-6

SIENA

C Lucarelli 36 (pen), 55

Argilli 15

Colombo 72

Chiesa 38

Vergassola 53, 60

Maccarone 62, 81

Argilli headed in D'Aversa's free kick. Referee De Santis, who had an awful
performance at Fiorentina (vs Milan) last week sent off Galante for kicking Alberto
then awarded Livorno a penalty when Protti went down after Colonnese kicked clear
a high ball. Chiesa restored Siena's lead after Maccarone's shot came back off a post.

Livorno were punished for trying to play the ball out of defence. Maccarone intercepted
Melara's pass, Chiesa helped on the ball and Vergassola shot first time in off the
crossbar. Lucarelli headed in Vigiani's cross but Siena hit back quickly through
Vergassola. Maccarone made it 2-5 with a superb half volley lob. Vidigal headed
Pfertzel's free kick against Colombo but for the second consecutive week Livorno
conceded a sixth. Maccarone, who has played a big part in the Siena revival, slammed
in his second.

Attendance : 16,000
Red Card : Galante 17 (Livorno)
Assists : D'Aversa (fk), Protti(won pen), Maccarone, Chiesa, Vigiani, Cozza, D'Aversa,
Vidigal, Foglio

MILAN 0-1

JUVENTUS

Trezeguet 28

Juve's goal was the only highlight of a dreadful first half. Collina played the
'advantage' after Nesta appeared to foul Nedved when he chased down a long ball,
Del Piero managed to find himself free in space on the right, where Cafu was I have
no idea, but had his cross charged down by Gattuso, so he leapt in the air and hit an
overhead kick across goal and Trezeguet, who found himself in a ton of space
between Stam and Maldini, headed into the net.

Serginho came on for Pirlo at the start of the second half and Milan finally started to
put pressure on the Juve goal. Serginho launched a counter attack, Shevchenko
volleyed on to Inzaghi but Buffon flew off his line to smother his shot and Zambrotta
blocked his follow up. Del Piero headed Birindelli's free kick against the bar and
Trezeguet volleyed the rebound wide. Shevchenko missed what was by his standards
an easy header before Collina screwed Milan out of two penalties. As Cafu went past
Zambrotta the defender pulled him down and minutes later Cannavaro charged down
Cafu's shot with his arm.

Galliani really should use his influence as league president to prevent this sort of shit
from happening. Collina cannot retire a minute too soon.

Attendance : 79,232
Assist : Del Piero

PARMA 2-1

ROMA

Morfeo 53

Cassano 4

Gilardino 79 (pen)

Roma's dreadful form since the appointment of Bruno Conti meant this was a
relegation six pointer. Cassano held off Simplicio as he tried to clear a hospital pass
and stroked the ball into the bottom corner. Roma should have been out of sight
before Morfeo's equalised with a horribly struck free kick. Curci brought down
Gilardino to concede a penalty. Gilardinho converted to go top of the scoring charts
alongside Lucarelli.

Attendance : 16,640
Assists : n/a, Morfeo (won fk), Gilardino (won pen)

REGGINA 1-1

BOLOGNA

Esteves 32

Bellucci 16

Bellucci scored with an excellent flick header and Emilio Estevez equalised with a
header from Mesto's cross. In the second half Zagorakis wasted a chance to win the
game for Bologna.

Both teams are chasing a UEFA Cup spot, although this season there isn't much
separating the UEFA Cup contenders from the teams battling against relegation, so
the draw did neither of them any favours.

Attendance : 14,536
Assists : Giunti, Mesto

SAMPDORIA 3-0

LECCE

Diana 23
Kutuzov 32
Edusei 87

The Lecce defence failed to pick up Diana as he angled a run onto Flachi's pass and
shot under Sicignano. Kutuzov added a second with a near post header. Vucinic hit
the woodwork and Edusei made it three late in the second half.

Attendance : 23,000
Assists : Flachi, Zenoni, Flachi
