Bellucci 93

Del Nero 49

Stankevicius 77

Caracciolo headed on Milanetto's free kick, Del Nero pulled down the ball, turned and
shot inside the post. Caracciolo got one of the dumbest yellow cards of the season.
He tried to prevent Pagliuca from taking a goalkick, Pagliuca pushed him, he fell
clutching his arm so Farina sent him off for diving. Despite being a man down Brescia
doubled their lead through everybody's favourite Lithuanian international Marius
Stankevicius. He received a pass 25 yards from goal as Giunti came to close him
down he dragged the ball back, side-stepped away from the midfielder and crashed
a shot in off a post. Castelazzi gave away a consolation goal when fumbling a
headed pass back from Stankevicius.

Del Piero 6
Ibrahimovic 23
Del Piero met Camoranesi's free kick with a brilliant header to give the Champions
elect a dream start. Ibrahimovic's goal was almost identical coming via a Nedved
corner. Ferrara came on for Nedved in the 87th minute to make his 500th Serie A

Assists : Camoranesi (fk), Nedved (ck)

Konan 46

Kaladze 12

Vucinic 82

Shevchenko 53

Kaladze headed Milan into the lead from a corner. Lecce had two shouts for penalties
turned down. Konan punished the static Milan defence to head in the equaliser from a
short corner. Inzaghi handled Dhorasoo's cross before kicking thin air, Shevchenko
made no such mistake to restore Milan's lead. He was substituted ten minutes later.
Konan was sent off for a studs high challenge on Kaka'. Shortly thereafter he missed
an absolute sitter on a counter attack. Milan then did a wonderful impression of
Lecce's offside trap. Ledesma and Cassetti played in Valdes, Maldini should have
closed him down, he ran into the box before pulling the ball back to Vucinic, Cafu
didn't bother making a challenge, 2-2.

Brocchi and Simic should get a game next week.

Attendance : 25,000
Red Card : Konan 73 (Lecce)
Assists : Rui Costa (ck), Pinardi, n/a, Valdes

D'Agostino 46 (Pen)

Alvarez 52

Amoruso 87
Cagliari needed to end their miserable away form if they were to grab a UEFA Cup
place. They didn't. D'Agostino gave Messina the lead right on half time from a
twice taken penalty after Loria 'fouled' Zampagna and then handled, I'm assuming
Messina (bizarrely that's the name of the referee) gave the penalty for the first
incident. Budel ran onto Bianchi's back heel and Alvarez powerfully headed his cross
into the top corner. Amoruso, on as a sub for Zampagna, was allowed far too much
time to turn (in slow motion) inside the box and his shot crept over the line.

Another three points guarantees Messina a UEFA Cup place.

Attendance : 30,000
Assists : Zampagna (won pen), Budel, D'Agostino

Barone 94

Mesto 36

Balestri launched a free kick into Palermo's half, Barzagli, under pressure from
Bonazzoli, jumped early and completely missed the ball, Bonazzoli volleyed against
the outside of a post and Mesto slammed in the rebound. Barzagli almost made
amends for his earlier mistake but his overhead kick was cleared off the line. Soviero
was having a blinder for Reggina in goal but was finally beaten by Barone after he
saved a header from Toni. The point guarantees Palermo UEFA Cup football next

Pisano 36 (og)

Castellini 25

One of these teams will be in the Champions League next season, hopefully it's not
Sampdoria. The visitors took the lead following a mistake by the normally dependable
De Sanctis. Diana headed on Volpi's free kick, De Sanctis came off his line and dived
on a low ball taking a boot to the chest and conceding a goal in the process. He
couldn't continue so Handanovic came on in his place. Pisano sliced Zenoni's cross
into his own net.
