PALERMO 0-2

SAMPDORIA

Gasbarroni 32

Bonazzoli 73

Samp went ahead against the run of play shortly after Caracciolo, wearing a gimp
mask, was guilty of a bad miss. Zenoni fired in a cross from the left, the ball struck
two of his team-mates before Gasbarroni hammered into the top corner. Antonioli
made an unbelievable save from Brienza as Palermo continued to pile on the
pressure. Bonazzoli looked miles offside when he headed in a high ball. Caracciolo
struck the post and Makinwa missed two further chances. Daylight robbery.

ASCOLI 0-2

FIORENTINA

Ujfalusi 55 seconds

Toni 62

The match was played behind closed doors as Ascoli have some sort of ban. Both of
Fiorentina's goals were scored from corners. This was the Viola's fourth consecutive
win and they'll need to beat Milan to make it five.

JUVENTUS 3-0

LIVORNO

Ibrahimovic 59
Trezeguet 60
Del Piero 92

Juve opened the scoring with what is becoming their trademark, a high ball over the
defence from Vieira. Ibrahimovic held off a defender before lobbing over Amelia.
Less than a minute  after Trezeguet scored with a superb header from Zambrotta's
right wing cross. De Ascentis was sent off for kicking Mutu in the ribs. Del Piero came
on for Trezeguet and scored a last minute charity goal to keep the idiots in the press
and his fans believing he's still a great player instead of his true role i.e. Trezeguet
and Ibrahimovic's fluffer.

Attendance : 28,000
Red Card : De Ascentis 63 (Livorno)
Assists : Vieira, Zambrotta, n/a

MESSINA 0-2

ROMA

Mexes 34

Totti 81

Mexes scored his second goal in a week for Roma when he volleyed in from close
range after Montella headed on a Totti corner. Roma's goalkeeper, Doni, made some
excellent saves in the second half before Totti sealed the victory on the break with
a superb low shot from 25 yards.

Roma's third consecutive victory. The real test comes in the next round when they
host Juve in what should be, if past form is anything to go by, a violent and
controversial clash with Juve stealing three points.

Attendance : 32,000
Assists : Montella, Nonda

MILAN 5-1

UDINESE

Gilardino 25, 53

Iaquinta 60 (Pen)

Seedorf 37
Pirlo 45
Kaka' 77

Inzaghi started alongside Gilardino in attack as, despite coming back in mid-week,
Shevchenko wasn't considered 100%. Despite heavy rain Milan played some super
slick football. Gilardino scored a typical Muller type goal (not that I've seen much of
Muller). With his back to goal he turned a defender before poking Inzaghi's centre
past De Sanctis, incredibly his first goal at the San Siro. Milan's second goal should
be framed and hung up in the Louvre. Seedorf passed to Kaka' who played a back
heel to Inzaghi as he turned, Inzaghi held off a defender then passed back to Seedorf,
with his first touch he gently pushed the ball wide of two players before blasting into
the bottom corner. Pirlo made it 3-0 with a stunning free kick which left De Sanctis
rooted to the spot. Milan's fourth was also brilliantly crafted, with Serginho, Kaka'
and Seedorf working an opening on the left and eventually sending Serginho into the
box and he pulled the ball across goal for Gilardino to tap in. Kaka' should have made
it 5-0 before Iaquinta won himself a penalty. He had stronger penalty appeals turned
down later on. Man of the match Serginho beat four players in midfield and defence
before shooting straight at De Sanctis, Kaka' turned in the rebound.

It's hard to believe there won't be plenty of goals when Milan visit Fiorentina in a
fortnight. Should be one of the matches of the season.

Assists : Inzaghi, Inzaghi, Kaka' won fk, Serginho, Iaquinta (won pen)

PARMA 2-0

LECCE

Marchionni 31
Morfeo 50 (fk)

Parma rode their luck early on with Lecce hitting the woodwork twice. Morfeo sent a
ball down the right channel forcing Sicignano, who was standing off his line, to back
peddle towards goal. Marchionni ran into the box, cut inside Stovini as he flew in with
a sliding tackle and blasted the ball into the net. Lecce continued to play the better
football until Morfeo knocked the fight out of them when he curled in a free kick.

EMPOLI 3-0

REGGINA

Rigano 7
Tavano 67
Vanucchi 93

The Reggina defence debated over whether or not to clear a loose ball, Tavano made
the decision for them and his cross was volleyed in at he back post apparently via a
deflection off Rigano (the replays didn't look clear). The home side missed half a
dozen chances before Tavano tapped in a second from Rigano's centre. Serafini
headed on a high cross and Vanucchi burst into the box to score an unflattering third.
