| Perrotta passed out wide to Tommasi, he hit a
first time cross into the box, Totti met the ball on the volley forcing former team-mate Antonioli into a brilliant save but before the ball went out for a corner Perrotta fired it back across goal and Totti tapped in. Roma didn't create a great deal after that but almost scored a second when De Rossi's header came back off a post and while trying to clear Antonioli almost punched the ball into his own net. Chivu pushed over Flachi to concede the game tying penalty. I just figured out who Antonioli looks like - Steve Carell from the 40-year-old virgin, which is a hell of a film. crossfield pass, he flicked the ball past a defender playing in Filippini who finished brilliantly, toe poking the ball into the top left corner. Pinga scored an equally brilliant second, a drop of the shoulder took him away from Diamoutene and he smashed the ball inside the post. Lecce were gifted a penalty when Vucinic lost his balance challenging for a ball. Sicignano was sent off for trying to do a Schumacher (the goalkeeper not F1 driver) on Filippini, I say trying because he barely made contact but it was a stupid challenge nonetheless. | A rare mistake by Thuram gave Lazio the lead.
Cannavaro charged down a shot from Di Canio and the ball bounced to Thuram. Under pressure from Di Canio he turned to face goal and, realising a back pass would be suicide, turned back and Di Canio stuck out a foot, the ball fell to Manfredini and he passed to Rocchi who tapped into an empty net. Camoranesi swung a free kick from the right, Nedved headed the ball into the ground, it looped into the air and Trezeguet leapt above Oddo and headed over the line.
