LAZIO 0-2

ROMA

Taddei 32

Aquilani 63

Roma should have been awarded a penalty when Manfredini went through Montella
with a scissors lock. Taddei gave Roma the lead with a header from a Mancini corner.
Roma repelled everything Lazio threw at them before suckering them on the break.
Mancini did a million step-overs as he drove into the box then pulled the ball back
to Aquilani who slammed first time into the bottom corner then hit the running
track and hugged his captain, Totti, in the stands. Great moment and congrats to
Roma for setting a new record for most consecutive wins (11).

EMPOLI 1-1

TREVISO

Rigano 92

E Filippini 52

After Vascak had a shot cleared off the line he touched the ball back to Filippini, he
danced past three players and from an acute angle absolutely hammered the ball
past Cejas. Empoli were awarded an extremely soft penalty. Almiron smashed the
ball past Sereni but the ref ordered a retake for encroachment and this time Sereni
saved. Treviso were the better side until Baseggio was sent off for his part in
whatever foul he was supposed to have made when conceding the penalty. Rigano
snatched an ill deserved point for the home side when he tapped in following a
goalmouth scramble.

PALERMO 0-2

MILAN

Inzaghi 72

Shevchenko 83 (Pen)

Kalac made a great save late in the first half after Costacurta put his defence in danger
with a heavy first touch from a back pass. Vogel, who has played regularly in recent
weeks (and probably deserves a starting place ahead of Pirlo) hit a brilliant deep
crossfield pass into the box and Inzaghi jumped between to defenders to head Milan
into the lead. Seedorf hit an 60 yard longball out of defence to Shevchenko, he left the
Palermo defence trailing in his wake and made the most of a silly challenge from
Andujar to win a penalty.

The Milan players wore black armbands in memory of Levan Kaladze, the brother of
Kakha Kaladze, who was found dead earlier this week after being kidnapped in 2001.

Attendance : 31,900
Red Card : Stam 87 (Milan)

INTER 3-1

UDINESE

Cruz 18 (Pen), 47

Iaquinta 83 (Pen)

Martins 59

Adriano was serving the first of a two match ban for slapping an opponent and I do
mean slapping literally. On what grounds Inter thought they had a case for appeal
I'll never know. Toldo retaining his place in goal and should have picked the ball out
of the back of his net early on but Iaquinta missed an absolute sitter. De Sanctis
made an outstanding save from Cruz before giving away a penalty with a foul on
Martins. Cruz smashed the ball low and killed off Udinese with a brilliant header early
in the second half. Martins tapped in the third after De Sanctis spilled Pizarro's free
kick. Samuel walked for chopping down Iaquinta. Sideshow Bob Barreto won a penalty
which Iaquinta rolled past Toldo. Zapata got a second yellow for no good reason and
Iaquinta, who had a tremendous free kick disallowed for a push, scored from the spot.

As far as Argentina are concerned everyone is obsessed with all these midget strikers
while overlooking Cruz who is probably the best option they have in attack.

Attendance : 45,000
Red Cards : Samuel 65 (Inter), Zapata 84 (Udinese)

JUVENTUS 3-1

LECCE

Emerson 18

Del Vecchio 10

Kovac 43
Del Piero 88 (Pen)

Del Vecchio gave Lecce a shock lead with a powerful diving header, capitalising on
more non existent marking from Juve's increasingly charitable defence. Juve lost Blasi
to a nasty cut above his eye after Del Vecchio whacked him in the face when
challenging for a cross. This seemed to infuriate Mutu who spent the rest of the match
kicking and punching Lecce players at random. Emerson, who has had a poor season,
back-heeled Mutu's wayward shot past Benussi to equalise. He took a boot to head
when attacking a corner and a HUMONGOUS, bulging growth formed on his head.
He soldered on with heavy strapping. No Juve game is complete without a bad miss
my Ibrahimovic and this week having controlled a Vieira longball, held off a defender
and with the 'keeper way off his line he volleyed wide. Kovac scored his first Juve goal
from Mutu's free kick and Del Piero finished off Lecce from the spot after the idiot
Rodomonti was fooled by Nedved's theatrics.

Nedved is going to get injured very soon, it's inevitable with the amount of diving he's
done in recent weeks karma will catch up with him. Buffon has already conceded
more goals than Abbiati. If Milan hadn't stupidly sent him on loan the scudetto would
still be up for grabs.

Attendance : 26,700
Red Card : Camorani 51 (Lecce)
Assists : Camisa, Mutu, Mutu (fk), Nedved (won pen)

CAGLIARI 2-2

CHIEVO

Suazo 32

Tiribocchi 85

Gobbi 94

Pellissier 90

Suazo pounced on a sliced clearance from Chievo captain D'Anna to give Cagliari the
lead. Tiribocchi tapped in the equaliser before Pellissier, who had two goals disallowed
for offside, made it third time luckily from a corner. In the last minute of injury time
Ferri booted a free kick into the box and Gobbi held off Semioli to equalise.

Attendance : 10,000
Red Card : Bega (Cagliari 66)
Assists : n/a, Lanna, Semioli (ck), Ferri (fk)

REGGINA 1-1

LIVORNO

Cozza 63

Morrone 46

Morrone gathered a loose ball and seeing Reggina goalkeeper Pavarini off his line sent
a 35 yard shot sailing over his head into the bottom corner. Cozza headed in the
equaliser.

Attendance : 9,386
Assists : n/a, Mesto

PARMA 2-4

FIORENTINA

Simplicio 3 (Pen)

Bojinov 35, 39

Bresciano 19

Jorgensen 48

Jimenez 68

Bojinov must have been excited ahead of the evenings heavyweight boxing match
between Danny Williams and Matt Skelton, so excited in fact he attempted a right
hook at the ball in his own penalty area. After he was beaten from the spot, Lobont
gifted Parma a second goal with an unnecessary run out of his box, he stopped
Corradi but couldn't hold onto the ball and Bresciano skipped a despairing lung to fire
in the second. The Aussie midfielder almost added a third but Lobont made an
excellent save. Bojinov began the comeback with a flick header from a long range
Pasqual free kick. Four minutes later it was all square. Toni headed on a long ball,
Bojinov burst through two defenders and pushed the ball under Bucci. Jorgensen
smashed in the third after Bucci had saved brilliantly first from Toni then Jimenez.
Jimenez finished off Parma from a corner.
