CHIEVO 2-1

LIVORNO

Amauri 14

Lucarelli 40

Obinna 61 (Pen)

Amauri volley came back off the underside off the crossbar before bouncing over
the line. Lucarelli missed two great chances as Livorno continually exposed Chievo's
lame offside trap but scored at the third attempt. Morrone hit a fantastic pass from
the half way line and as the ball bounced in the D, Lucarelli flicked it over Fontana.
Coco was stretchered off with what looked a gruesome injury after he went over
on his knee. Obinna despatched a cheaply awarded penalty.

Attendance : 6,400
Red Card : Luciano 65 (Chievo)
Assists : Luciano, Morrone, Semioli (won pen)

FIORENTINA 1-1

ROMA

Toni 2

Cufre 72

Roma failed to clear a cross, Jimenez headed the ball back into the box and Toni,
standing just off Cufre, blasted a volley into the net. Perrotta should have equalised
but scuffed his shot after great work by Mancini and Aquilani. Lobont made a
magnificent save from Perrotta. Roma were on top before Toni was once against
subbed in the second half, his ankles must be knackered. Lobont made another
incredible save - from a Cufre header but the defender slammed in the rebound to
earn Roma a point, they deserved all three.

Attendance : 40,800
Assists : Jimenez, n/a

LAZIO 3-3

EMPOLI

Pandev 7

Tosto 25

Behrami 8

Tavano 64

Di Canio 80

Oddo 93 (og)

Pandev was shielded by two defenders as he received the ball in the box. With a sharp
turn he went past Kroldrup then rode a tackle from the defender before turning inside
another defender and, from a stupid angle, hammered the ball into the roof of the net.
Less than a minute later Empoli were caught down their right, Mauri crossed, Balli
saved from Rocchi and Behrami tapped in the rebound. Busce volleyed forward a
cross, Lucchini headed down and Tosto tapped in at the far post. Empoli should have
been dead and buried, Pandev in particular was guilty of a shocking miss, but got back
on level terms thanks to Lazio's offside trap. Pandev and Rocchi had shots cleared off
the line before Di Canio, on as a sub, looked to have scored the winner with one of
his classic solo efforts. In the last seconds of the match Raggi swung in a cross and
Oddo sliced the ball past his 'keeper.

Lazio's defending is tragic but going forward only Milan and Roma play better football.
Pandev has World Class potential, he's one of the best support strikers in Serie A.

PALERMO 1-1

ASCOLI

Caracciolo 35

Foggia 71

Palermo took the lead following a wonderful move. Di Michele chipped Brienza's pass
first time over the top of the Ascoli defence and as they appealed for offside
Caracciolo rifled the ball into the bottom corner. Codrea got himself a second yellow
for a crazy handball and Ascoli levelled five minutes later trough a deflected free kick.

Attendance : 26,400
Red Card : Codrea 66 (Palermo)
Assists : Di Michele, Guana

REGGINA 1-1

SIENA

Amoruso 51

Bogdani 21

Bogdani smashed home his ninth goal of the season after Legrottaglie forced Pelizzoli
into a save from a corner. Reggina's equaliser was one of the goals of the season.
Pelizzoli threw the ball out to Modesto on the left wing, he carried it to the half way
line and checked inside a defender before passing to a team-mate who took a touch
before dropping the ball down the left to Modesto, who had continued his run forward,
and his centre was finished off by Amoruso.

Attendance : 9,600
Assist : n/a, Modesto

SAMPDORIA 1-1

CAGLIARI

Castellini 13

Suazo 67

I'm sure Novellino would have got the sack had Samp lost this match. Castellini eased
the pressure on his coach with a bullet header from a corner. Chimenti saved brilliantly
from Diana and Kutuzov missed an open goal. Suazo scored from what was probably
Cagliari's only attack, firing in a rebound after Pisano stung Antonioli's palms with a
fierce drive.

Attendance : 22,000
Assist : Gasbarroni (ck), n/a

UDINESE 2-0

PARMA

Di Natale 20
Felipe 52

Candela lined up a free kick 35 yards out wide right on goal, he swung the ball into a
packed penalty area and Di Natale leapt in the air and the ball flew in off a post.
Iaquinta missed an absolute sitter. his finishing this season has been Ibrahimovic
level. Felipe sealed victory with thumping header from a corner. De Sanctis saved a
Simplicio penalty.

Attendance : 15,000
Assist : Candela, Di Natale

INTER 3-0

MESSINA

Solari 15, 26
Martins 19

Cruz tried to help forward a ball to Martins, the Messina defence struggled to clear
and Solari pounced with an exquisite close range lob/volley. Burdisso volleyed a cross
out wide to Kily Gonzalez and he chipped a ball over to the back post for Martins to
head in the second. Storari made a number of tremendous saves in this match but
was beaten for a third time after he parried a Cambiasso header.

Inter's reserves could have scored six and played with considerably less nerves than
Milan and Juve ahead of this week's Champions League matches.

Attendance : 45,671
Assist : n/a, Kily Gonzalez, n/a
