ASCOLI 1-1

SIENA

Ferrante 60

Bogdani 45

The match was briefly delayed after a part of the touchline caved in and had to
be repaired. Bogdani volleyed Siena into the lead from Legrottaglie's longball.
Fini caught Alberto dithering in possession and the defender's hurried clearance
ricocheted off the midfielder and landed at Ferrante's feet, 1-1.

EMPOLI 3-1

CAGLIARI

Tavano 46, 64

Capone 33

Almiron 69

Cagliari almost scored two stunning goals inside 20 seconds. Suazo repeated his party
piece from last weekend by running from the halfway line and beating four players but
Carini parried his shot however Empoli failed to clear allowing Capone to pull down the
ball with his right foot before slamming a left foot volley into the top corner, fabulous
goal. Tavano came on as a second half sub and scored immediately after Rigano
headed down a long ball. The duo repeated the trick to put Empoli in front and
Almiron stabbed in a loose ball after Cagliari failed to deal with a longball for the
third time.

Obviously it's too early to write off Cagliari's chances of survival but regardless of
where they finish Suazo, Esposito and Langella shouldn't be at the club next season.
Suazo have improved no end.

LECCE 1-3

FIORENTINA

Pinardi 48 (Pen)

Fiore 49

Bojinov 52

Toni 62

Pinardi gave Lecce a shock half time lead from the penalty spot. Bojinov overhit
a corner but Fiore latched onto the ball and slammed a low shot past Sicignano.
Bojinov pounced on a dreadful clearance by former team-mate Cassetti to put
Fiorentina in front and Toni scored a cheap third after Sicignano flapped at
what should have been a routine catch from his header.

MILAN 2-0

LAZIO

Shevchenko 12
Kaka' 14

Milan took their now customary lead with another high quality goal from Shevchenko.
Vieri headed down a long ball, Shevchenko dribbled past Stendardo before blasting
the ball inside Sereni's near post. Kaka' tapped in a second after Sereni failed to hold
a cross and for once Milan didn't piss away the lead and claimed their first clean sheet
in 11 games? Lazio should have been awarded a second half penalty when the
World's best shirt puller (puller not lifter) Nesta hauled down Zauri.

TREVISO 0-2

SAMPDORIA

Bonazzoli 45, 47

Pisano hit a high cross towards the back post, as Treviso's goalkeeper Zancope
jumped for the ball Bonazzoli leapt in the air, pushed Zancope out of the way and
headed into the net. Clear foul. Bonazzoli scored his third goal in the week with a
sweetly struck volley.

JUVENTUS

Vieira 37

Only on goal in a game in which Juve largely dominated. Abbiati did a Rene Higuita
scorpion kick save in the second half. I can't imagine he actually meant it.
