ASCOLI 1-1

FIORENTINA

Bjelanovic 84

Toni 47

Toni ended a run of five games without a goal when he headed in Liverani's
corner. Perrulli swung a low free kick into the box and everyone, apart from
Bjelanovic,
missed it.

CHIEVO 2-2

ATALANTA

Zanchetta 25 (fk)

Zampagna 71

Pellissier 57

Loria 75

Zanchetta shot Chievo into the lead with a fantastic free kick. Zanchetta was
also involved in Chievo's second goal. With his back to play on the edge of the
box he flicked the ball over his head away from a defender then fired a volleyed
pass into the box, the ball deflected off an Atalanta player and Pellisier took
advantage of the confusion to score. Pinto, who had just come on as a substitute,
centred for the poorly marked Zampagna to begin the comeback. Four minutes later
another substitute, defender Loria, met Doni's teasing cross with a spectacular scissor
kick, sending the ball flying into the opposite corner of the net.

PARMA

Pfertzel 25

Ferronetti 71 og
Lucarelli 82

Parma's Bocchetti took a kick at Pfertzel as he tried to convert Pasquale's
centre and despite losing his balance he managed to score. Ferronetti slashed a
cross intended for Lucarelli into his own net. Lucarelli, who is struggling for
goals this season, put away a free header at the far post.

Attendance : 7,445
Red Card : Budan 55 (Parma)

MESSINA 1-4

LAZIO

Rigano 56 (Pen)

10 (og)

Pandev 59

Mauri 81

Makinwa 83

Mauri blasted a free kick into a packed wall and the ball probably took a
deflection off several players before flying past George. Rigano converted a
soft penalty awarded for a 'foul' on Di Napoli who has been terrible this
season, having scored a respectable 12 goal last season. Pandev immediately
restored Lazio's lead when his marker went to sleep on a cross. Mauri was either
attempting to lob George from a stupid angle or cross in any case he ball
rebounded off Morello and fell kindly for the midfielder to volley in a second.
Makinwa completed the rout and scored Lazio's 9th goal of the week on the break.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : n/a, Di Napoli (won pen), Ledesma, n/a, Pandev

ROMA 7-0

CATANIA

Panucci 12, 48

Mancini 19

Perrotta 24, 40

Montella 59

Totti 70

Panucci held down a Catania defender to head in Pizarro's cross. Mascara was
sent off for striking Chivu in the face, it didn't seem intentional or particularly violent
but I didn't get a good replay. Mancini put away a deflected cross and Perrotta scored
the sloppiest individual goal of all time. He dribbled into a defender, the defender fell
and handled the ball, Perrotta kept going and as he resisted two idiotic attempts by
the goalkeeper to bring him down then recovered from a heavy first touch to beat two
defenders to the ball and poke it into the net. Awful, bumbling goal. His second was
just as bad, a shot from the edge of the box which any professional keeper should
save. Panucci walked in his second after the Catania defence tired to play offside on
a corner. Montella made it 6-0 with a fine finish on the break and Totti completed
Catania's misery with the pick of the goals. He lobbed a pass upto Mancini, a defender
hooked the ball back over his head and Totti, who had continued his run into the box,
slammed a right foot volley into the bottom corner.

Attendance : 46,500
Red Card : Mascara 15 (Catania)

SIENA

Asamoah 19

Iaquinta 44 Pen, 79

Udinese's misfiring Ghanaian striker opened the scoring with a tremendous header.
Iaquinta converted a penalty awarded for handball and as heavy fog enveloped the
pitch he expertly pulled down a Muntari longball before lobbing over the
advancing Manninger.

Attendance : 14,000
