LAZIO 3-0

ROMA

Ledesma 44

Oddo 52 Pen

Mutarelli 73

Ledesma rarely scores but when he does the goals tend to be spectacular and this
was no exception. Standing 30 or so yards from goal he took a pass from Oddo and
hit a left foot shot which arched wickedly towards the top left corner of the net.
Rocchi headed on a longball, it landed right at Mexes' feet but an appalling first
touch allowed Pandev to steal possession and he headed straight for the centre of
the box, Pandev tried to vault Doni as he rushed off his line but Doni's sneaky
trip brought him crashing to the ground. Rosetti initially gave nothing then produced
a red card for Doni and penalty for Lazio after consulting a linesman. Following
protests from Roma players he went back to the linesman and gave Doni a yellow
card instead, presumably because Panucci was in a position to clear so Doni wasn't
the last man. Oddo made no mistake from the spot and Lazio added a third on the
break, Mauri hit the woodwork for the second time in the half but Mutarelli was on
hand to lash in the rebound. An increasingly frustrated Totti was lucky not to be sent
off for pushing his head into a Lazio defender having already been booked.

ATALANTA 3-2

MESSINA

Bombardini 28

Cordova 75

Pinto 57

Di Napoli 85

Doni 67

Brazilian forward Pinto had a hand in all three of Atalanta's goals. He flicked on a
throw in and Bombardini just beat his marker to slide the ball past Storari. Bombardini
played a ball out wide to Pinto, as he ran into the box everyone was getting ready for
a cross, suddenly he put his boot through the ball sending a right foot shot ripped into
the top left corner. Doni topped that 10 minutes later. He bounced Pinto's right wing
cross high off his chest before leaping in the air and blasting an overhead kick into
the back of the net. Atalanta, who have twice thrown away leads in recent weeks,
almost blew it again. Cordova made it 3-1 with a superb free kick and Di Napoli set
up a tense finish from another set piece.

INTER

Crespo 60

Ibrahimovic 78

Samuel 87

Crespo set Inter on the way to a record equalling 8th consecutive league victory when
he tapped in a rebound after Ibrahimovic headed a Recoba free kick against a post.
Vannucchi steamed into a tackle on Solari, inadvertently playing a perfect through
pass to Ibrahimovic and showing a new found composure that alluded him last season
(and through a large part of his career) he curled the ball in off a post. Burdisso
crossed for Samuel to head in the third.

REGGINA 2-1

ASCOLI

Lucarelli 29

Pecorari 84

Amoruso 78

Alessandro Lucarelli connected with Leon's free kick at the back post to give Reggina
the lead. A desperate tackle by an Ascoli player sent Reggina on a three vs one break,
Bianchi passed to Amoruso and he beat Cudini (the only defender covering) before
lobbing over Pagliuca. Pecorari took advantage of some slack defending to score but
Ascoli failed to trouble the home side in the closing minutes.

Attendance : 9,000
Assists : Leon (fk), Bianchi, Vastola

PALERMO 3-0

LIVORNO

Simplicio 2, 79

Amauri 38

Palermo, who haven't won in three games, got off to the perfect start when Simplicio
tapped in Di Michele's centre. From an identical position Amauri headed in a Bresciano
cross. Simplicio absolutely belted Pisano's centre into the roof of the net to complete
the rout and earn his side their first win in three games.
