CAGLIARI 1-1

INTER

Colucci 17

Grosso 38

Esposito attacked Inter down their left flank, a quick turn took him away from
Zanetti and he floated a cross towards the back post, Maicon, who should have
been picking up Colucci, was caught ball watching and Colucci volleyed over
Julio Cesar. Esposito wasted a glorious chance to put Cagliari further in front
on a counter attack. Chimenti, under pressure from Adriano, got nowhere near
Maicon's cross allowing Grosso to tap-in his first Serie A goal for Inter.

Crespo left the field with a muscle injury and Adriano reacted angrily to being
substituted, after two miserable attempts on goal. At least Inter still have
Cruz and Martins, oh shit they sold him.

CATANIA

Jorgensen 54

Toni 79
Dainelli 83

Jorgensen broke the deadlock with a typically cool finish from a rebound. A
slick one touch passing move ended with Toni crashing Mutu's outrageous low
cross in off the underside of the crossbar, the best team goal scored in Serie A
this season. Dainelli whacked in the third after Jorgensen helped on a corner.

Attendance : 30,000
Red Card : Biso 36 (Catania), Stovini 81 (Catania)

SAMPDORIA 3-2

PARMA

Franceschini 22

Dessena 4

Del Vecchio 53

Contini 78 Pen

Bonazzoli 68

Grella attempted to volley a poor clearance from the edge of the box but
completely miss-hit the ball sending it looping up into the air, instead of
defending the ball the Samp defence stood still and appealed for offside while
Dessena dropped a volley over Castelazzi. Bonazzoli drew two defenders and the
keeper to the back post and his high cross left Franceschini with an empty net.
Del Vecchio, always a danger in the air, headed Samp into the lead from Zenoni's
cross. De Lucia should have been sent off for chopping down Bonazzoli on the
edge of the penalty area. From the resulting free kick Franceschini hit a driven
cross towards the back post and Bonazzoli tapped into an empty net. Contini
converted a penalty awarded for 'handball' but Parma's hopes of a comeback faded
when Morfeo, who looks like Miguel Alvarez from OZ, kicked Maggio. Samp's first
win in 17 games.

REGGINA

Loria 3

Tedesco 6

Loria slammed a loose ball into the roof of the net after Ventola forced
Pelizzoli into a save with an acrobatic scissor kick. Tedesco equalised with a
magnificent dipping volley from 25 yards. Hell of a goal and a hell of a way to
mark his 100th game for Reggina.

Mauri 72

Magda Gomes, wow. She was practically naked when presenting the introduction to
the highlights. Italian TV is so great. Abbiati was at it again. Mudingayi intercepted a pass and fired a centre into the box, Rocchi shot straight at Abbiati but he punched
the ball down and it spun into the net. Di Loreto gave away a penalty with a stupid
challenge on Rocchi. Oddo converted then scored a rare 'goal' from open play when
his speculative long range shot took a wicked deflection off the back of a Torino
player. Mauri completed the rout with a tap-in after Rocchi forced a save from Abbiati.

I though Lazio would struggle to survive in light of their points penalty but
they've almost wiped it out and I wouldn't rule them out of claiming a UEFA Cup
place.
