ATALANTA 3 (Valdes 20, Doni 78, Vieri 88)
UDINESE 0
After briefly flirting with Champions League places both teams were back in familiar upper mid-table territory. Valdes opened the scoring with a low curling effort following good work by Floccari. The striker also made the second for his captain with a cross from the left. The once, almost great Christian Vieri scored a fine third. With his back to goal he spun onto a pass before shooting past Handanovic with his trusty left foot.

Caccia met Giacomazzi's deep cross with a superb left foot volley into the bottom right corner. Zenoni got free down the right and hung up a cross for Valiani to equalise. Barreto and Di Vaio scored outstanding goals. Brienza took a corner and played a pass beyond the edge of the box which Baretto met first time with an unstoppable right foot howitzer. Valiani sent a ball over the top of the Reggina defence, Di Vaio waited for it to drop over his shoulder before rifling a left foot volley into the opposite corner.
