Iaquinta headed in a Camoranesi free kick and was immediately booked for taking off his shirt. He was shown a second yellow card for following through on Potenza after making a clumsy, jumping tackle. What an idiot. Buffon kept Juve in the game in particular his point blank save from Potenza was amazing but he was caught out of position on the goal and forced to push out a Mascara header and Morimoto tapped in the rebound. Amauri headed down a Nedved corner, Terlizzi tired to clear but caught fresh air and Poulsen, back from a long injury lay off, smacked the ball into the bottom corner to send Juve into second place.

ROMA 3 (Cicinho 26, Vucinic 47, Baptista 93)
GENOA 0

Cicinho started and finished a marvellous passing move. He cut inside the centre circle and hit a firm pass into Brighi, Brighi played the ball first time into Totti, Totti checked inside a defender before playing in Perrotta on the overlap and Cicinho volleyed his centre past Rubinho. Roma's second was even better. De Rossi broke from midfield, chipped a high cross over the shoulder of a defender out wide to Vucinic who caught the ball on the drop with a left foot volley that ripped into the net. Taddei was shown a second yellow card for thumping Criscito in the back. In second half injury time Baptista ran half the length of the field onto a Mexes longball, slalomed his way past two defenders then from the edge of the box whipped the ball into the top right corner.

Three brilliant goals in this crucial Champions League six pointer.

SAMPDORIA 2 (Bellucci 47, Pazzini 51)
SIENA 2 (Vergassola 21, Maccarone 79)

Samp fell behind after dominating from the whistle. January signing Ferri tried to blast clear a pass that had been deflected into the box but Vergassola snuck in from behind, charged down the ball and shot past Castelazzi. Bellucci equalised in first half injury time. Pazzini's went looking for a penalty after Curci dived at his feet and before anyone could appeal Bellucci tapped into the net. Cassano weaved his way through two defenders on the left flank before centring for Pazzini to put Samp 2-1. He was replaced by Padalino on 69 minutes and Mazzari's decision came back to haunt him because the midfielder missed an open goal following more predictable Cassano brilliance. Maccarone scored the equaliser within two minutes of replacing Calaio. He got in front of his marker Gastaldello to flick home a Galloppa free kick. It proved to be an eventful game for the former Boro striker. In the remaining minutes he was also booked for diving and missed an open goal.

TORINO 1 (Ventola 64)
CHIEVO 1 (Italiano 83)

Stellone flicked on a cross, substitute Ventola pulled off the shoulder of a defender, raced clear and nutmegged the 'keeper to score his first goal in another injury plagued season. Italiano, who scored a memorable goal against Reggina a fortnight ago repeated the trick with a punishing right foot volley.

BOLOGNA 0

Attendance : 12,000

PALERMO 2 (Migliaccio 2, Simplicio 14)
NAPOLI 1 (Hamsik 42)

Palermo worked a short corner, Miccoli put in high, swerving, unplayable cross, Migliaccio got in front of Aronica to score, via a deflection off the defender. The Robbie Williams look-a-like also made Palermo's second with a Cassano style slalom from the left, he poked the ball across the face of goal and Simplicio beat goalkeeper Navarro at his near post. Hamsik got Napoli back into the match with a lovely curling effort from the edge of the box. Lavezzi flashed a Maggio cross wide of the right post and Cavani and Succi failed to punish hospital passes.

INTER 3 (Ibrahimovic 12, Figo 72, Stankovic 82)

Cambiasso broke from midfield and played a delayed pass into Ibrahimovic and as Lecce hands went up for offside he rifled a shot into the bottom left corner. Ibrahimovic was booked for simulation in the box after Stendardo jumped into a tackle and appeared to make contact. Teenage fullback Davide Santon, who many expect will be a future Italy international, delivered a great cross from the left for Figo to head in Inter's second. Stankovic headed in a third from a Maicon free kick.

Attendance : 26,000
Assists : Cambiasso, Santon, Maicon (fk)

MILAN 1 (Kaka' 67 Pen)

Bonera failed to get tight on Corradi as he challenge for a centre, the ball broke to Di Gennaro, former star of Milan's youth team, and he slammed a shot into the bottom corner to score his first ever Serie A goal. The ref made up for a poor handball call against Seedorf by pointing to the spot after Pato took a dive in the box.

Attendance : 53,182
Assists : Corradi, Pato (won pen)
