BOLOGNA 0
UDINESE 3 (D'Agostino 14 Pen, Floro Flores 21, Pepe 74)

Britos pushed over D'Agostino to concede a penalty and earn an extremely harsh early trip to the showers. D'Agostino converted then hit a fabulous first time 60 yard longball over the top of the Bologna defence to Floro Flores, he turned Zenoni inside out twice before driving the ball into the bottom left corner. Pepe nutmegged Antonioli to score the only goal of a second half dominated by the visitors.

Having upset Milan on the opening day of the season Bologna have now lost three straight.

TORINO 1 (Bianchi 40 Pen)

Bianchi converted a penalty awarded for a point blank handball. GENOA 3 (Sculli 4, Milito 61, Milito 88)
ROMA 1 (De Rossi 28)

Riise saw Sculli put his hands up and call for a cross yet STILL managed to lose the striker and Sculli shot past the exposed Doni. Rubinho, the second best Brazilian 'keeper in Serie A, made a fantastic reflex save from De Rossi but was powerless to stop the midfielder heading in the rebound. The match was turning into a nightmare for Riise. His half cleared cross was headed back into the box and the Roma defence pushed up leaving the unmarked Milito in front of Doni, 2-1. Roma had an equaliser incorrectly ruled out for offside shortly before De Rossi was shown a second yellow for late tackle on Gasbarroni. Palladino and Olivera made Riise look like a fool as they worked an opening on the left and Milito pulled clear of Loria before expertly placing a shot over Doni.

Milito's ability to play on the shoulder of defenders is off the charts making him almost impossible to mark.

Attendance : 24,000
Red Cards : De Rossi 68 (Roma)
Assists : Gasbarroni, n/a, Juric, Palladino

JUVENTUS 1 (Amauri 16)
CATANIA 1 (Plasmati 68)

The future of Italian football Sebastian Giovinco rewarded Ranieri for giving him his first start of the season with an amazing performance. He crossed for Amauri to head in what should have been the first of many goals. The tiny playmaker almost scored one of the goals of the season when he beat two players before turning onto an Amauri pass, via a Del Piero dummy, but Bizzarri saved with his feet. Chiellini was back for Juve and clearly lacking match fitness as he mistimed attempt to clear Tedesco's cross was punished by substitute Plasmati. Del Piero and Amauri hit the crossbar in the same attack, Giovinco provided the initial cross, and Del Piero flashed the ball wide of Bizzarri's left post having once again been found by Giovinco. Bizzarri made an amazing point blank save to deny Poulsen a certain winner after Giovinco continued to wreck havoc down Catania's left.

Attendance : 22,053
Assists : Giovinco, Tedesco

LAZIO 3 (Mauri 51, Pandev 55, Siviglia 59)
FIORENTINA 0

Zarate headed Foggia's cross against the of the crossbar and Mauri followed up with an overhead kick to give Lazio a well deserved lead. Zarate ran through two challenges on the edge of the box before losing possession, Dainelli and Vargas got in each other's way when trying to clear and Pandev snuck up from behind to snare the loose ball and blast a quick-fire second past Frey. Still shell-shocked the Fiorentina defence failed to track Siviglia as he lost three markers to head in a Foggia cross at the back post.

A sensational performance from Lazio. Zarate was an absolute menace. Fiorentina looked out on their feet. The fixture list hasn't been kind, they opened at home to Juve and have had three tough away games - Napoli, Lyon in Europe and now Lazio. Gamberini's injury is also a big blow.

Attendance : 30,000
Assists : n/a, n/a, Foggia

NAPOLI 2 (Hamsik 14, Zalayeta 75)
PALERMO 1 (Miccoli 83 Pen)

Zalayeta, recently back after a long lay-off, played a one-two with Maggio sending the midfielder down the right, he held off Balzaretti and despite losing his balance managed to roll a centre across the box and Hamsik arrived to poke the ball through a defenders legs and wide of Amelia. Palermo dominated the rest of the match but couldn't find a way past Amelia. Carrozzieri gave away possession deep in his own half with a hospital pass, Zalayeta he lead a counter attack and after Amelia pushed Hamsik's grass cutter seemingly out for a corner Zalayeta suddenly arrived from nowhere to slide the ball against the crossbar and sitting on his backside scored at the second attempt. Miccoli converted a penalty awarded for handball.

Attendance : 25,000
Assist : Maggio, n/a, n/a

REGGINA 1 (Corradi 59)
MILAN 2 (Borriello 24, Pato 73)

Borriello scored his first league goal on his return to Milan with a trademark header. Milan were looking comfortable until the striker went off with a thigh muscle injury on the hour mark and his replacement, Shevchenko, conspired with the awful Kaladze to give up the equaliser. Shevchenko was supposed to be marking Santos as Milan defended a free kick, Santos got above him to head the ball down, Kaladze kicked it against Corradi and his instant shot beat Abbiati as he advanced off his line. Zambrotta chipped a ball down the right flank to Kaka', he got the by-line and pulled back a cross for Pato to shoot first time past Campagnolo.
