BOLOGNA 1 (Di Vaio 74)
JUVENTUS 2 (Nedved 12, Nedved 57)

Nedved rolled back the years and scored brilliant individual goal. He bounced Tiago's crossfield pass off his chest, cut in from the left and burst through two players before thrashing a RIGHT foot shot inside the left post. His second goal was a left wing cross which Antonioli fumbled into his own net. Di Vaio stooped to meet Carrus' low, in swinging free kick, scoring against his former club.

Attendance : 31,743
Assists : Tiago, Iaquinta, Carrus (fk)

CATANIA 0
UDINESE 2 (Sanchez 13, Quagliarella 83)

19 year old Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, who has been considered a great prospect for a number of years, made the most of a chance to start in the centre of attack in Di Natale's absence. He picked up possession some 35 yards from goal and dribbled past two defenders before blasting a fierce low drive inside the bottom left corner. Udinese were on the back foot for most of the match yet they scored a second goal against the run of play. Bizarri flew off his line to prevent Quagliarella from reaching a through pass and although Quagliarella evaded his sliding tackle he was forced outside the box but still managed to lob the ball into an empty net. Excellent finish.

Attendance : 18,500
Assists : D'Agostino, Floro Flores

CHIEVO 1 (Pellissier 11)
LAZIO 2 (Pandev 15, Mantovani 82 og)

Pellissier made up for a shocking miss with perfectly struck angled drive from way out wide left. Pandev equalised against the run of play. Zarate made the goal with a powerful run down the left, he wriggled his way past Malago before rolling across goal for Pandev to tap in. Lazio probably just about edged the game on chances but neither team deserved all three points. Mantovani made sure Lazio left with them when he volleyed Radu's cross into his own net.

Zarate is the best dribbler in the World. Unlike Messi he doesn't dive and he's much stronger physically.

GENOA 2 (Papastathopoulos 25, Motta 55)
CAGLIARI 1 (Bianco 66)

Mesto fired a low ball into the box which everyone missed apart from Greek defender Papastathopoulos who pulled off his marker before side footing into the bottom corner. He must have been watching Milito. Motta, yes the same one who used to play for Barca, scored his first Serie A goal. He trapped a loose ball after a Sculli had a shot charged down, he appeared to be going nowhere but as Marchetti needlessly ran off his line the Brazilian beat him with a shot from an almost impossible angle. Bianco got on the end of a Fini free kick to make it 2-1 but Cagliari's hopes of a comeback went down the shitter when the influential midfielder picked up two quick yellows, the first for a clumsy looking jump tackle from behind and the second for chopping down Milito.

Attendance : 24,000
Red Card : Fini 76 (Cagliari)
Assists : Mesto, n/a, Fini (fk)

LECCE 1 (Cacia 22)
PALERMO 1 (Cavani 88)

Castillo ran in on the blindside of the Palermo defence onto a great Giacomazzi pass, his heavy touch took him past Fontana and big nose Cacia tapped into an empty net. Giacomazzi walked for a late foul on Balzaretti and the full back helped make the equaliser, his deflected cross was turned in by Cavani.

Attendance : 9,437
Red Card : Giacomazzi 75 (Lecce)

MILAN 2 (Inzaghi 31, Kaka' 65 Pen)
SIENA 1 (Vergassola 54)

Kaka' played a one-two with Seedorf before surging upfield from the half way line and passing to Gattuso who, surprisingly, threaded a perfectly weighted ball to Inzaghi and he smashed high into the net as Manitta advanced off his line. Milan appeared to switch off and the chances began to mount for the visitors. They took one when Frick inadvertently flicked on a cross and Vergassola rode the bounce before slamming the ball in off a post. Milan immediately moved up a gear. Pato flashed a spectacular volley wide of the left post and Inzaghi just failed to make contact with a Kaka' centre following some marvellous approach play but the ref decided the striker had been fouled and pointed to the spot. Kaka' converted in Ronaldinho's absence.

Attendance : 49,650
Assists : Gattuso, Frick, Inzaghi (won pen)

NAPOLI 3 (Denis 7, Denis 16, Denis 63)
REGGINA 0

Lavezzi, Denis and Hamsik combined brilliantly for the opening goals. Lavezzi passed a ball into Denis, he held off a defender as he turned and poked a ball between two defenders to Hamsik, Hamsik pulled the ball back to Denis, he feigned to shoot, sending Costa crashing into the ground as he attempted to make a block tackle, touched the ball forward then hammered a right footer into the roof of the net. Hamsik and Denis burst through Reggina's offside trap onto Lavezzi's magnificent reverse pass and the Slovakian unselfishly centred for Denis to tap in his second. Heavy rain and floodlight failure couldn't prevent Denis from completing his hat-trick, I think the first in Serie A this season, on the break.

Napoli face Milan in the San Siro on Sunday for the possible sole leadership of Serie A. Potentially one of the games of the season.

Attendance : 50,000
Assists : Hamsik, Hamsik, Maggio

ROMA vs SAMPDORIA was suspended due to heavy rain.

TORINO 2 (Amoruso 62, Stellone 64)
ATALANTA 1 (Floccari 66)

Stellone took a ball on his chest, turned away from a defender then hit a great crossfield pass out wide to left back Rubin and Amoruso just about beat a defender to the youngster's cross, flicking it past Coppola. The home side scored a fortuitous second. The Atalanta defence cleared a longball to the edge of the box, Stellone caught the ball on the volley, hitting a dreadful shot into the ground but the ball bounced to Rubin who was free on the left side of goal, the alert Coppola made a great save with his feet but this time Stellone was more accurate in despatching the rebound. Valdes headed on a pass and Floccari ran across his marker and scuffed his shot but Calderoni fumbled and despite Natali's desperate goal-line clearance the goal stood.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Rubin, n/a, Valdes
