ATALANTA 0
NAPOLI 2 (Quagliarella 7, Pazienza 58)

Quagliarella cemented his reputation as the most spectacular goalscorer in the World with another fabulous strike. With his back to play about 25 yards from goal he flicked the ball to his left, turned and both feet left the ground and he put his right foot through the ball, sending a shot dipping and curling through the air before it crashed in off a post. If only he was this good from inside the box. The fans turned on Atalanta coach Antonio Conte at half time, hurling abuse at him. His assistant did a Phil Brown and gave a team talk on the pitch. It didn't have any effect as Napoli continued to run roughshod all over Atalanta and Pazienza headed in an overdue second from a Hamsik corner.

Attendance : 10,000
Assists : Aronica, Hamsik (ck)

BARI 2 (Meggiorini 6, Barreto 68)
UDINESE 0

Almiron lost possession in midfield and tried to recover the ball with a stupid two footed tackle, Inler jumped over the challenge and sent Baretto clear, he centred leaving Meggiorini with a tap-in. Baretto gave his former club another kick in the balls with the second goal. Bonucci hit a glorious 60 yard pass over the top of the Udinese defence, Barreto finished with a right foot volley.

Attendance : 19,000
Assists : Baretto, Bonucci

CAGLIARI 2 (Lopez 91, Conti 93)
ROMA 2 (Pizarro 52, Perrotta 65)

Pizarro was shaken by a firework throw at him in the second half but recovered to convert a penalty awarded for a foul on Vucinic. Taddei setup the second for Perrotta with a fantastic solo run. If the highlights were anything to go by Cagliari were not threatening to get back into the game before Lopez scrambled in from a corner. Two minutes later Daniele Conti hooked in a rebound after Julio Sergio made a fantastic save from a Larrivey volley.

LAZIO 4 (Floccari 46, Floccari 54, Rocchi 72, Kolarov 91)
LIVORNO 1 (Bergvold 7)

Lazio's chances of a win looked very slim after Bergvold gave Livorno the lead - they haven't scored more than one goal in a game since August. New signing Floccari, I don't understand why Genoa let him go, blasted in the equaliser from a Zarate centre and a second soon followed, from a Rocchi pass. Baroni ran from his own half onto a loose ball and struck an absolutely gorgeous lobbed pass to Rocchi who controlled the ball on his chest before firing inside the left post. He won a late penalty. Zarate and Kolarov argued over who should take it and midget Zarate had to yield to his much larger team-mate.

Attendance : 15,000v Assists : Marchini, Zarate, Rocchi, Baronio, Rocchi (won pen)

PARMA 1 (Amoruso 25)
JUVENTUS 2 (Salihamidzic 3, Castellini 39 og)

Chiellini flicked on a Diego corner and Salihamidzic re-directed his header past Mirante. Trezeguet picked up an ankle injury following an innocuous challenge for a ball. Amoruso got above two defenders to head in a Zenoni cross. Castellini headed a Diego corner into his own net.

Attendance : 20,530
Assists : Chiellini, Zenoni, n/a

SAMPDORIA 1 (Cassano 41)
PALERMO 1 (Cavani 40)

In a very entertaining first half Liverani volleyed a loose ball forward to Cavani, Castelazzi was too slow off his line and Cavani poked in his fifth goal of the season which is an appalling return for a player of his ability. Speaking of ability Cassano backed into Kjaer as he plucked Palombo's 60 yard pass out of the air, turned and slotted into the bottom right corner. Magnificent goal. Sampdoria were robbed of a late penalty for handball.

Attendance : 22,000
Assists : Liverani, Palombo

SIENA 1 (Maccarone 84 Pen)
FIORENTINA 5 (Kroldrup 5, Santana 28, Gilardino 36, Gilardino 66, Mutu 79)

Kroldrup was involved in the first two goals. He opened the scoring from a Vargas corner then flicked on a Mutu free kick which Santana headed past Curci. Gilardino capitalised on a terrible mistake by Curci to tap in Fiorentina's third. In the second half Frey made one of the greatest saves of all time from a point blank Maccarone header, he jumped in the air and scissor kicked the ball clear. Gilardino scored his second with a superb flick header. He should have had a hat-trick but blew a one on one against Curci, Mutu tapped in the rebound. Maccarone scored a consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Attendance : 13,000
Assists : Vargas (ck), Kroldrup, n/a, Comotto, n/a, Calaio

MILAN 5 (Ronaldinho 32 Pen, Thiago Silva 38, Borriello 48, Borriello 60, Huntelaar 74 Pen)
GENOA 2 (Sculli 25, Suazo 79)

Ambrosini dived to win a penalty which Amelia saved. Genoa took the lead with a wonderfully crafted goal. Palacio passed out wide to Mesto, he waited for the Argentinean to make an overlapping run in support, rolled a ball outside Antonini, Palacio ran onto it, crossed to the back post and Sculli stooped low to head past Dida. Ambrosini won another penalty by throwing himself over Amelia and this time Ronaldinho made no mistake. Pirlo floated a free kick out wide to Antonini who controlled the ball on his chest before volleying a cross to the back post, Borriello's header was cleared off the line, Ambrosini volleyed the rebound goalwards, drawing a great save from Amelia but Thiago Silva tapped in the rebound.

In the second half Ronaldinho released Antonini with a superb ball and he put on the breaks before centring for Borriello to tap in goal #3. Genoa failed to clear their lines from a set piece and the duo combined to score a stunning fourth, Antonini picked up the former Genoa striker with a perfect cross and he leapt in the air volleying a scissor kick inside the left post. Ronaldinho was clotheslined in the box. Beckham gave him the ball, he appeared reluctant to take the spot kick and offered it back to Beckham, Ambrosini pulled rank and gave it to Huntelaar instead and he blasted in his third Milan goal. Beckham was given a standing ovation as he was substituted. Suazo scored a consolation goal as the new look Milan defence, which is actually very good with Abate and Antonini at full back and Thiago Silva and Nesta in the middle, switched off.
