ATALANTA 3 (Padoin 13, Chevanton 49, Adriano 54)

Atalanta thumped Livorno in this relegation six pointer. Padoin blasted his side into the lead on a rebound after Rubinho made a brilliant one handed save from Chevanton. The Brazilian was much the busier of the two goalkeepers and conceded a second when his defence bailed, their offside trap leaving Chevanton alone in front of goal. Adriano arrived unmarked at the back post to turn in Guarante's free kick.

If Atalanta go down goalkeeper Consigli (23) and midfielders Guarante (25) and Padoin (26) should be high on the shopping lists of most Serie A clubs.

BARI 1 (Masiello 85)
PARMA 1 (Belmonte 36 og)

Plenty of chances but only two goals. Belmonte sliced a Zenoni centre into his own net. Bari centreback Masiello broke from defence, played a one-two with Alvarez on the edge of the box and poked over Gillet, who went down early.

LAZIO 2 (Rocchi 4, Floccari 37)

Lazio emerged from ritiro (a weeks training in seclusion) to claim a shock victory at mid-table Cagliari. Rocchi rode a Marzoratti tackle as he latched onto a Mauri through ball and shot past Marchetti. Floccari weaved his way between two defenders before poking past Marchetti.

Cagliari annoucned they will refund fans, as promised, following the defeat.

CHIEVO 1 (Pellissier 19)
CATANIA 1 (Lopez 74 Pen)

An injury forced Catania to substitute goalkeeper Andujar for Kosicky. The giant Slovakian made a string of great saves before a botched offside trap let in Pellissier for the opener. Lopez stole a point with a massive dive in the box under no contact whatsoever. Argentinean's are still the dirtiest players in the game.

Attendance : 8,568
Assists : Frey, Lopez (won pen)

MILAN 1 (Inzaghi 26)
NAPOLI 1 (Campagnaro 13)

Milan tried to play the offside trap, something they don't resort to often under Nesta, Lavezzi broke through and as he played a centre Oddo and Thiago Silva crashed into Abbiati leaving Campagnaro with an empty net. Napoli should have destroyed Milan on the break. Inzaghi met a Ronaldinho cross with a bullet header to equalise.

FIORENTINA 3 (Santana 5, Gilardino 73 Pen, Babacar 86)

Having been fouled Gilardino was laying on the turf but caught out the Genoa defence when he flicked on a ball between two defenders to release Gobbi and Santana met his centre with a delicious back heel as he ran across goal. Amelia ran off his line and chopped down Jovetic with a ludicrous attempt to claim the ball. He should have been sent off. Jovetic and Gilardino argued over who would take it, Gilardino pulled rank and converted. 3 days after his 17th birthday Fiorentina's giant Senegalese striker Babacar capitalised on a mistake by Bocchetti before calmly picking his spot to score his first career goal in only his third appearance.

Attendance : 25,543
Assists : Gobbi, Jovetic (won pen), n/a

ROMA 4 (Toni 15, Vucinic 23, Vucinic 65 Pen, Vucinic 82)
UDINESE 2 (Di Natale 38, Di Natale 61)

Toni bounced a cross off his chest, held off Lukovic and scored with a crappy shot which bounced past a poorly positioned De Sanctis. Vucinic scored a brilliant second goal. Menez released him on a counter attack, he checked inside Zapata and curled a shot inside the right post. Di Natale converted a soft penalty, his 20th goal of the season. Di Natale punished awful defending from a set piece to equalise but four minutes later Isla kicked Menez to concede a penalty. Menez got to the by-line and pulled back a centre for Vucinic to complete his first Roma hat-trick.

Attendance : 35,000

PALERMO 1 (Cavani 24)
INTER 1 (Milito 11 Pen)

Bovo sacked Lucio when defending a corner to win the penalty. Julio Cesar was surprisingly beaten at his near post after Cavani turned onto a Miccoli pass and hammered the ball low into the corner. Palermo failed to do what they did against Milan and Juve, kill Inter on the break. They had enough chances.

Attendance : 35,753
Assists : Lucio (won pen), Miccoli
