GENOA 0
JUVENTUS 2 (Marchisio 18, Krasic 23)
The Genoa fans were waving plastic blue plates before kick-off. Is there a party they haven't been invited to? Motta overhit a high cross into the box, Quagliarella kept the ball alive with a header off balance, Marchisio caught the ball on the volley but didn't get any power on his shot, it took a deflection off Dainelli, bounced against the inside of the left post, off Eduardo's head and into the net. Krasic dribbled past Criscito with the Chris Waddle shoulder drop dummy as he cut in from the left, beat Veloso, fired a shot across goal and Eduardo got a touch but couldn't keep it out.
Genoa hit the woodwork twice but Juve were much the better side. Toni was booked for punching the ball into the Juve net. Genoa are going nowhere fast with him leading their line.

BRESCIA 1 (Caracciolo 20 Pen)
CAGLIARI 2 (Matri 63, Conti 66)
Biondini kicked Caracciolo to concede the penalty which the striker converted with a ridiculously violent shot. Brescia should have been out of sight by half time. Donadoni must have given one hell of a half time team talk as Cagliari were a different side after the break. Matri flicked the ball over the head of a defender on the half way line and passed to Cossu who played a clever ball which forced Matri to make an angled run between three defenders and as Sereni came off his line Matri show wide into the corner. Three minutes later Cossu touched a free kick to Contini who hit a fantastic shot into the bottom corner almost certainly via a deflection.

CESENA 1 (Bogdani 24)
PALERMO 2 (Ilicic 11, Miccoli 51)
Delio Rossi's swashbuckling side scored another sensational goal. Miccoli spread the ball out wide to Balzaretti who, as usual, swung in an excellent cross, as Cesena's goalkeeper threw himself at the ball Ilicic leapt in the air and with the outside of his left foot volleyed the ball into the net. Brilliant, brilliant goal, brilliant, brilliant player. Balzaretti dived into a tackle on the edge of the Palermo penalty area, Giaccherini sidestepped him, poked the ball through to Nagatomo and Bogdani slid his centre past Sirigu. Cassani, the other half of Palermo's full back unit, gathered a loose ball, flashed a centre across goal and Miccoli smashed the ball first time into the bottom right corner, his first following his return from a long injury lay-off.
Attendance : 14,068
Assists : Balzaretti, Nagatomo, Cassani
CHIEVO 2 (Pellissier 29, Moscardelli 82)
INTER 1 (Eto'o 92)
Frey swung in a cross and Pellissier took a running jump to meet it with a spectacular diving header. Eto'o should have been sent off for doing a Zidane style headbutt into Cesar's chest. The officials missed the incident, the cameras didn't so he'll get a ban of at least two games. Chievo were carving up Inter like a Christmas Turkey. Fernandez blew the best chance, Constant floored Castelazzi with a blistering strike from distance, the Man City reject was first to the rebound but screwed his shot wide of the right post. Eto'o worked an opening in a packed penalty area and blasted a shot at goal, Sorrentino denied him with a stunning point blank save. Moscardelli, on as a replacement for the injured Pellissier, doubled Chievo's lead on the break. Constant bypassed Benitez's idiotic high line with a ball out wide to Rigoni, Thereau miss controlled his centre and Moscardelli pounced to stab the ball into an empty net. Dirty cheat Eto'o scored an incredible consolation goal. He cut in from the left and dribbled past four players before finding the bottom corner. Inter are going to be absolutely fucked without him.
In the most tactically demanding league in the World Benitez has proven to be tactically inept. He is of course blaming injuries for his teams miserable form and pulling the 'I need to spend money on shit players' trick. It won't work at this club. He got the dreaded vote of confidence last week now he's on the third step and has a noose around his neck.
Attendance : 19,268
Assists : Frey, Rigoni, Nwankwo
LECCE 2 (Di Michele 72, Diamoutene 83)
SAMPDORIA 3 (Pazzini 9, Pazzini 40 Pen, Pazzini 88)
The most boring team in the league took the spoils in this five goal thriller. Rosati got into a tangle with a defender when going for a cross and Pazzini pounced to score Sampdoria's first goal in four games. The heavily tattooed Chevanton was shown a straight red for kicking Marilungo's shins. Marilungo made sure Grossmuller was punished for a stupid challenge in the box to earn his side a penalty.
Ten man Lecce dominated the second half and deservedly got back in the game with a fantastic goal. Di Michele plucked a long ball out of the air with the outside of his right foot then fired into the bottom right corner. Fabulous skill. Lecce continued to lay siege to the Sampdoria goal and finally broke through 10 minutes from time. Fabiano hooked a ball back into a packed penalty area and with the Sampdoria defence appealing for offside Diamoutene placed a firm header into the top corner. Mannini, who was amazing in the first few months of last season, played a ball into Dessena, he stepped over it letting it run to Pazzini and he emphatically completed his hat-trick with a ferocious shot into the roof of the net.
Attendance : 6,600
Red Card : Chevanton 38 (Lecce)
Assists : n/a, Marilungo (won pen), Giacomazzi, Mannini
PARMA 1 (Crespo 23)
LAZIO 1 (Floccari 48)
Crespo scored against the club that supposedly made him the holder of the World record transfer fee when he met Angelo's cross with a flick header. An amazing goal-line clearance briefly denied Lazio an equaliser then deep into injury time Antonelli stepped up to head Zarate corner into his own net.
Lazio have taken just four points from their last four games. I think their flirtation with the top spot is over. They have a decent side but no depth. If they are to get into the Champions League next season they need reinforcements in midfield and attack in January.
Attendance : 14,062

NAPOLI 4 (Maggio 2, Hamsik 36, Hamsik 47, Cavani 74)
BOLOGNA 1 (Meggiorini 68)
Maggio scored a rare headed goal from a second minute corner. Hamsik doubled Napoli's lead with a deflected effort which should really go down as an own goal for Britos. He made it 3-0 just after the restart from a short corner. Meggiorini beat De Sanctis with an excellent header. Sosa played a one-two with Lavezzi on the left, raced onto his return pass and pulled back a centre for Cavani to shoot first time past Viviano and join Eto'o on top of the scoring charts.
Attendance : 25,000
Assists : Lavezzi, Cavani, Pazienza, Rubin, Sosa

ROMA 2 (Menez 24, Boriello 56)
UDINESE 0
Simplicio closed down Inler as he tried to pass the ball into the Roma half, Totti miss controlled and the ball broke to Menez 40 yards from goal, he slalomed his way between two players before curling a low shot inside the right post. Great goal. Borriello turned onto a Menez pass, out muscled Domizzi, who was furiously pulling on his shirt in the box, and hammered the ball into the bottom corner.
