CAGLIARI 3 (Pinilla 14, Pinilla 46 Pen, Pinilla 56 Pen)
CESENA 0

Cagliari worked a short corner to Ekdal, he scuffed his shot and Antonioli dived at Ribeiro's feet as he tried to make contact, the ball bounced to Pinilla who was free at the back post. Mutu and Ribeiro missed sitters before two extremely charitable penalties ensured Cagliari ended a miserable run of form.

Pinilla become the third Cagliari player in history (and second in a week) to score a hat-trick. Colucci was sent off after Santana chopped down Ibarbo, maybe a case of mistaken identity? Ibarbo claimed another victim when Rossi eventually wrestled him to a halt.

Attendance : 10,000
Red Cards : Colucci 61 (Cesena), Rossi 78 (Cesena)
Assists : n/a, Ribeiro (won pen), Cossu (won pen)

BOLOGNA 2 (Di Vaio 59, Diamanti 80)
CHIEVO 2 (Andreolli 26, Thereau 69)

Bradley rolled a free kick across the box and Thereau's shot went in off team-mate Andreolli. Bologna's equaliser also came via the free kick route, Perez hammered a shot back towards goal after Chievo could only half clear Diamanti's free kick and Di Vaio, looking suspiciously offside, turned the ball in. Hetemaj mugged Perez in midfield and sprung a counter which Thereau finished off. Diamanti picked up the ball 25 yards from ball and dribbled in between traffic before beating Sorrentino with a low left foot shot which he should have saved.

Attendance : 17,446
Assists : Thereau, Perez, Pellissier, Di Vaio

CATANIA 1 (Legrottaglie 80)
LAZIO 0

Lodi swung over a free kick and veteran centreback Legrottaglie smashed a VOLLEY past Marchetti.

Attendance : 17,406
Red Card : Reja 93 (Lazio coach)
Assist : Lodi (ck)

INTER 0
ATALANTA 0

In this week's Inter are complete fuck-ups update Milito missed a penalty. Next up Juventus which means an easy three points for the Bianconeri.

LECCE 1 (Di Michele 6 Pen)
PALERMO 1 (Munoz 15)

Lumbering oaf Munoz made amends for conceding the penalty when he rose through the air - like an Elephant, to head in the equaliser from a corner.

Attendance : 8,400
Red Card : Bertolo 41 (Palermo)
Assists : Bertolacci (won pen), Ilicic (ck)

SIENA 0
NOVARA 2 (Rigoni 72, Porcari 81)

Caracciolo headed down a longball and Rigoni took a touch before shooting into the bottom left corner. Novara's second was a near carbon copy with the only difference being Porcari caught the ball on the drop from Caracciolo's knockdown with a stunning volley.

Novara's second successive victory. They're still 8 points from safety with just 10 games left. I'm sure a team has managed an escape act from a similar position in the past.

Attendance : 9,891
Assists : Caracciolo, Caracciolo

UDINESE 2 (Pinzi 28, Di Natale 52)
NAPOLI 2 (Cavani 81 fk, Cavani 85)

Di Natale played a ball out wide to Fabbrini and Pinzi arrived at the back post to tap in his centre. Udinese's second arrived from the opposite flank. Pinzi played a one-two with Pasqual before meeting his delayed cross with a brilliant flick header, the ball cannoned off De Sanctis' left post and Di Natale volleyed in the rebound from close range. Fabbrini was shown a second yellow for a needless sly kick to Campagnaro's right foot. Napoli pinned Udinese back and eventually forced a penalty when former Napoli captain Domizzi used his arm to block a Cannavaro header. Cavani missed another penalty but was more accurate from further out when minutes later he curled in a free kick after Cannavaro collapsed the wall by leaning on a defender, clever. Napoli patiently worked an opening, Dzemaili played in Cavani on the left of the box and as Handanovic stood tall Cavani hammered the ball through his legs and in off the left post.

The result means Udinese have one won one of their last five games. Although Napoli have a tougher set of fixtures they have to be clear favourites to grab 3rd place and are Serie A's best hope of getting a third team into the Champions League group stages.

Attendance : 14,000
Red Card : Fabbrini 60 (Udinese), Guidolin 76 (Udinese coach)
Assists : Fabbrini, n/a, Dzemaili (won fk), Dzemaili

PARMA 0
MILAN 2 (Ibrahimovic 17 Pen, Emanuelson 55)

Ibrahimovic scored his 20th league goal of the season from the penalty spot after Zaccardo spiked an Emanuelson shot. Having missed a sitter from 3 yards out in the first half, Emanuelson scored a fantastic second for Milan. He skipped over Paletta's challenge as he gathered a Nocerino pass and used the stationary Ibrahimovic as a decoy as he pushed a ball through his legs, rounded Mirante and tapped into an empty net.

Attendance : 19,481
Assists : n/a, Nocerino

FIORENTINA 0
JUVENTUS 5 (Vucinic 15, Vidal 27, Marchisio 54, Pirlo 67, Padoin 72)

Vucinic found just enough space in a packed penalty area to blast Juventus into the lead. Any hopes Fiorentina had of a comeback ended when Cerci literally kicked Caceres on the arse and earned himself a red card and the eternal ire of his own fans, who already didn't like him to begin with. Vidal fired in his own rebound after Vucinic rolled a defender and laid off a pass. To commemorate a fight Bonucci and Vidal supposedly had earlier in the week Bonucci shadow boxed Vidal and he promptly fell flat on his back. Genius. Marchisio headed on a Vucinic cross. Pirlo scored a rare goal from inside the box, I don't recall him ever doing that, after playing a on-two with Vucinic before lifting over Boruc. Padoin tapped in the fifth from Pirlo's deflected cross.

Fiorentina's heaviest ever home defeat and to make matters worse it came against their most bitter rivals. Fiorentina's SPORTING DIRECTOR was made the scapegoat with news his contract would be terminated at the end of the season. Like that's going to help.
