INTER 3-1 BOLOGNA
Ronaldo 8 Simutenkov 88
Simic 86
Ventola 89

Ronaldo headed in a corner before an explosion of goals ended the game.
Simic tucked a half volley past Taibi from Zanetti's cross, Simutenkov pulled
one back before Ventola tapped in from another Zanetti cross. Inter should
have scored 6.

JUVENTUS 3-2 VENEZIA
Conte 11 Pedone 63
Inzaghi 45 Recoba 90
Luppi 85 (own goal)

Conte headed in Henry's corner. Inzaghi miss-controlled another Henry cross
but made amends by reacting quickly to shoot past Taibi. Ballerin turned
Montero's hospital pass back into the box and Pedone volleyed past Peruzzi.
Man of the match Henry scored via a deflection off former Juventino Luppi
but Recoba had the last word, pouncing on slack control by Montero on the
half way line before racing clear and blasting the ball past Peruzzi. A
fitting end to the season for the superlative Recoba.

LAZIO 2-1 PARMA
Salas 27, 76 Vanoli 54

A scrappy first goal for Lazio, Salas scrambling in from close range after
Mihajlovic's free kick bounced off Negro. Vieri missed a sitter and Lazio
should have been awarded a penalty when Sensini ran over Salas in the box.
Vanoli beat Ballotta, on for Marchegiani, at the second attempt. Nedved's
cross appeared to go out, Mancini turned back the ball and Salas headed in
from close range.

Attendance : 75,000

PERUGIA 1-2 MILAN
Nakata 37 (Pen) Guly 11
							Bierhoff 34

Guly gave the lead with a deflected shot. Bierhoff headed in an Albertini
cross from a corner but Nakata's penalty, awarded after a rash challenge by
Sala on Rapajic, ensured a tense finish.

For 34 minutes Milan controlled the game and looked like sealing the
championship in style but nerves set in after Nakata gave Perugia hope from
the penalty spot. The second half, which started late due to fire on the
pitch, degenerated into a scrappy and at times cynical affair with Milan
time wasting and diving, Ambrosini in particular the main culprit. Milan
should have been awarded a penalty for a foul on Boban and also had a goal
disallowed. Boban and Weah were largely anonymous, Albertini wasted
possession but a superb performance by Guly and a series of impossible
saves by Abbiati, in particular from a Rapajic volley in the second half,
sealed an unlikely championship.

Attendance : 26,000

PIACENZA 1-1 SALERNITANA
Vierchowod 53 Fresi 64 (Pen)

Vierchowod headed in Piovani's corner. Fresi converted a penalty won by
Di Michele's dive but a point and 7 minutes of injury time were not enough
to save Salernitana from Serie B.

Attendance : 21,000

SAMPDORIA 1-0 BARI
Doriva 32

Doriva finished off a nice passing move involving Palmieri and Montella.

lunge on Totti. Totti then orchestrated Vicenza's downfall, Delvecchio
finishing powerfully from his through ball and Gautieri blasting in from
close range from a beautiful chipped pass. The World's most expensive
bench warmer, Fabio Junior, finished off Vicenza with a looping shot from
Cafu's cross.
