a left foot volley into the bottom corner. England U-21 defender
Stephen Wright killed off Dortmund's slim hopes of qualification with a
powerful header from Berger's free kick.

As Murphy took his free kick despite the fact that the Porto 'keepers view
was obstructed by the wall he dived early and the ball ended up in the
opposite corner of the net. Really dumb goalkeeping. Silva levelled on the
hour, powerfully heading in Sanchez's corner.

Another superb goal from the borderline World Class Rosicky. He received
Reuter's pass with his back to play, turned, went around Vaschuk, fly past
the other Dynamo players and hit a superb shot with the outside of his right
foot.

With his back to play Goulart turned and brushed aside old man Reuter
before hitting an awesome shot in off the post. Boavista are the most
spectacular goalscorers in the Champions League. Dortmund equalised
from Reuter's quickly taken free kick. Koller's flicked the ball onto
Ricken who sent Ricardo on his arse before lifting the ball into the net.
The impressive Koller turned Rosicky centre's past the 'keeper to score
the winner.

Gerrard spotted Murphy running into the box and launched a huge
cross which dropped perfectly for his team-mate, Murphy's finish was
equally brilliant.  A foul by Heskey and slack defending from the resulting
free kick gave Dynamo the equaliser. Ghioane poking in Belkevich's cross.
World Class Gerrard put Liverpool back in the lead with a deflected effort.

The Boavista miracle continued with another fine victory. Petit threaded the
ball through the Dortmund defence, Silva arrived from nowhere to score.
Sanchez doubled Boavista's lead with another outrageous free kick. Amoroso
rounded Ricardo and tapped into an empty net before getting himself sent off
for a foul on Serginho.

Gerrard's deflected free kick came back off a post and despite an awful first
touch Litmanen put away the rebound. Liverpool could and should have scored
a hat-full.

Sanchez smashed in a free kick. Ghioane equalised when Boavista's 'keeper made
a mess of a cross. Silva took one touch to control Goulart's rapid pass, turned
and blasted a low shot into the net. Duda put the seal on a fine victory with a
looping header.

This must have sucked really, really hard as the Italian directors only switched to
the match three times and quickly switched back.

Melashchenko showed tremendous strength to fight his way through Worns and
Reuter and then poked the ball past Lehmaan. A swift passing move lead to the
second goal. A Dynamo player fell onto the ball when challenging for a cross.
While the Germans appealed for handball he managed to pass to Lucky, 2-0.
Dortmund's big summer signings then earned their team a point. Koller drilled
Amoroso's pass under Filiminov and the Brazilian put away a rebound after
Filiminov spilled Rosicky's shot.

A simple ball over the top caught out what has rapidly become a less than
solid defence. Goalkeeper Ricardo sent the ball 80yds downfield, Hyppia's
attempted clearance found Goulart and as he tried to steady himself for a
shot Silva took the ball off his feet and blasted Boavista in front. Owen
equalised with another superb goal. He timed his run onto Heskey's pass to
perfection and from the edge of the box curled the ball into the top corner.
