SPARTAK MOSCOW

Bueno 31

Pavlyuchenko 7

Kalynychenko 16

Boyarintsev 89

The visitors broke down Sporting's right, Bystrov pulled the ball back to
Jiranek, his shot rebounded off the underside of the crossbar, hit Ricardo and
bounced towards the edge of the six yard box, Pavlyuchenko took off and planted
an overhead kick into the net. Less than ten minutes later the hosts were once
again undone by Bystrov from an identical position. This time he pulled clear of
Ronny with a brilliant feint on the edge of the box and smoked the other
defenders before checking his run and chipping a ball over to the back post
where Kalynychenko was waiting with a header. Bueno headed Sporting back into
the match from Ronny's cross. Boyarintsev tapped in Spartak's third from
Bystrov's deflected cross.

BAYERN MUNICH 1-1

INTER

Makaay 62

Vieira 91

Salihamidzic found Makaay with a superb lofted pass between Samuel and youngster
Andreolli (who has a striking resemblance to Inter legend Giacinto Facchetti)
and he rolled back the years with an excellent finish, bringing the ball under
control with his left foot before finding the inside of a post with his right.
Vieira, one of only four regular first teamers in the starting eleven, smashed
in the equaliser after Kahn ran off his line to block a shot from substitute
Grosso only he forgot to get his hands up and the ball bounced off his chest and
landed at the Frenchman's feet.

Admittedly not many people have tipped Bayern to win the competition this season
but the fact that they couldn't beat a second string Inter side speaks volumes
for their chances of making a genuine impact. On the bright side they could get
lucky and draw Celtic and win via a debatable penalty in Munich.

Kalinichenko 16 (fk)

Pizarro 22, 39

Kovac 72

It's November in Moscow and looked bloody cold. Kalinichenko gave Spartak the
lead with a free kick that left Kahn rooted to the spot, the first goal Bayern
have conceded in the competition this season. Pizarro equalised with a lucky
flick header - facing away from goal near the penalty spot, there's no way he
meant to do it. His second was a superb curling shot from 25 yards. Mozart's
corner hit team-mate Kovac in the bollocks and he managed to stab the ball into
the net before grabbing his cock (as he celebrated), running towards the
touchline and collapsing on all fours in agony. I thought this was hilarious but
none of the commentators or pundits on the two highlights shows I watched
laughed.

Cruz 2, 9

Pavluchenko 54

Recoba was given a rare outing by Mancini and rewarded his coach with an
outstanding display. His free kick cannoned off Vieira and Cruz slammed the ball
in off the underside of the crossbar. Recoba chased down Stankovic's pass,
drawing out the 'keeper in the process, by the time Kowalewski got back on his
line Cruz had darted into the box and headed in Recoba's cross. Quincy (ex-Arsenal)
teased Cordoba before slipping a ball through to Boyarintsev and Pavluchenko
slammed his centre past Cesar.

Podolski 91

Ibrahimovic was sent off for two 'bookable' offences, I was playing X-Box 360 live
so missed the first yellow but the second was ridiculous. He went in for a 50-50 ball
with Schweinsteiger, the German midfielder got there first so Ibrahimovic ended up
clipping his ankle, Schweinsteiger did a Klinsmann - rolling around in agony, bye bye
Ibrahimovic. That wretched old man Scholl should have been sent off for an
absolutely disgraceful two footed lunge on Grosso. Makaay chipped a ball into
Pizarro (according to UEFA it was Scholl, because it's really hard to tell those two
apart, idiots), Grosso got a block on his shot but Julio Cesar had rushed off his line,
the three players crashed into each other and the ball bounced into the net. Sagnol
ran intoGrosso's elbow, it caught the top of his chin so he clutched his face, earning
Grosso a straight red. Cordoba, who had a miserable game at the weekend, under-hit
a back-pass, Podolski raced onto the ball, took out Julio Cesar with a superb dummy
then blasted the ball into an empty net.

Nani 59

Jiranek headed a ball into the box, Bystov pulled it down and as he turned team-mate
Boyarintsev took it off his feet and thundered a right foot shot into the top corner.
Ricardo made a phenomenal save to deny Pavlyuchenko a certain second. Yannick
laid a pass into Nani and headed for the box, Nani ignored him and instead played
and one-two with Liedson, pushed the ball wide of Kowalewski, who flew off his line
at great speed, and chipped into an empty net.

Sagnol released Pizarro down the right and he cut inside a defender before shooting
past the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Kowalewski. The injury prone Santa Cruz
turned onto an excellent Van Bommel pass before sweeping the ball inside the
bottom left corner. Schweinsteiger fired in a deflected cross to make it 3-0 and
Salihamidzic robbed Podolski of his first Champions League goal by tapping the
youngster's goal-bound shot over the line.
