ATLETICO MADRID 5 (Koke 48, Mandzukic 61, Griezmann 63, Godin 87, Cerci 92)
MALMO 0

Atletico finally broke through, having wasted several chances, from a clever Turan pass. Mandzukic held off his marker to poke home a Koke centre. Griezmann whacked a shot straight at Malmo goalkeeper Olsen and the ball took a wild bounce, looping high in the air before dropping under the crossbar. Koke completed a hat-trick of assists with a corner and Cerci came off the bench to score his first Atletico goal on the rebound, after smashing a shot against the crossbar.

LIVERPOOL 0
REAL MADRID 3 (Ronaldo 23, Benzema 30, Benzema 41)

Liverpool suffered the ignominy of having the awful Benzema score against them but not before a beautiful Ronaldo goal. Ronaldo swapped passes with Modric, Pepe, Benzema and finally Rodriguez who clipped a gorgeous pass over the heads of Gerrard and Lovren which Ronaldo met with a cushioned volley into the bottom left corner. The feeble Coutinho lost possession on the edge of his own penalty area when trying to spring a counter attack and Benzema scored with a fluky looping header from Kroos cross. Benzema scrambled in his second following poor goalkeeping from Mignolet on a corner.

Balotelli swapped shirts with Pepe at half time to further annoy everyone but at this stage I think he knows he cannot piss off the press and fans further so doesn't care. The real crime was he sought out Pepe.

Attendance : 43,521
Assists : Rodriguez, Kroos, Pepe

LEVERKUSEN 2 (Donati 58, Papadopoulos 63)
ZENIT ST PETERSBURG 0

Donati strode forward from defence to blast Leverkusen into the lead. Substitute Papadopoulos, who is a beast of a man, headed in a Calhanoglu free kick.

ANDERLECHT 1 (Naja 71)
ARSENAL 2 (Gibbs 89, Podolski 91)

There was a hot brunette in one of the director's boxes rocking a baby to sleep. More impressive than anything on the pitch (the woman not the baby). Naja headed Anderlecht into the lead against the run of play. Gibbs slammed home a superb Chambers cross to equalise and two minutes later forgotten man Podolski tapped in a rebound.

Attendance : 19,881
Assists : Praet, Chambers, n/a

GALATASARY 0
DORTMUND 4 (Aubameyang 6, Aubameyang 18, Reus 41, Ramos 83)

Dortmund's paradoxical form continued (they're one point off the relegation places in the Bundesliga), with Galatasaray's naïve offside trap a source of easy goals - Prandelli is a poor tactician. After Rues beat the offside trap before laying on the first, Chedjou's non marking gifted Aubameyang his and Dortmund's second. Reus scored a sensational third, sending a rocket of a shot dipping and swerving over Muslera. Gundogan was finally back, only his second appearance of the past two seasons, and combined with fellow sub Ramos for Dortmund's fourth.

Attendance : 36,324
Assists : Reus, Piszczek, Kagawa, Gundogan
