Dino Zoff holds the record for consecutive clean sheets at international level (12).
The run started with a 4-0 win against Luxembourg in September 1972 and was
ended by Haiti's Emmanuel Sanon in Italy's opening match of the 1974 World Cup
and this was after Italy had claimed home and away wins over England in World Cup
Qualifying matches and a 2-0 friendly victory over Brazil.

Zoff remains the oldest player to ever win the World Cup, he was 40 when he
captained Italy to victory in 1982.
