Milan's two year pursuit of Ronaldinho appear to be at an end after several positive meetings with the player's brother and agent Roberto De Assis. The Italian press claim the club are ready to cash in on legendary defensive midfielder Gennaro Gattuso with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid reported to be interested.

Another year of failure at Arsenal may signal the end for key midfielders Alexander Hleb and Mathieu Flamini. Hleb is said to have signed a three year deal with Italian Champions Inter while Flamini has told Milan he will only join if they qualify for next year's Champions League. The outgoing European Champions hope to persuade him with a yearly salary of €3.5 million, a significant increase on his current Arsenal contract.
