CESENA 1 (Defrel 22)
VERONA 1 (Gomez 77)

Hugo Almeida, yes the crap Portuguese striker, headed down a longball for Defrel to give Cesena the lead. Gomez equalised with a looping header.

Assists : Almeida, Tachtsidis

LAZIO 4 (Mauri 7, Klose 25, Klose 26, Ederson 93)
CAGLIARI 2 (Braafheid 48, Joao Pedro 84)

Mauri reacted to a series of deflections to give Lazio an early lead. Klose scored two goals in a minute. The first from close range after a slow motion counter attack and the second after Cagliari cheaply lost possession.

Disgraceful defending, in particular from Ciani, ended with a shot going in off Braafheid. Pedro set up a tense finish, despite Cagliari being reduced to ten men, and Ciani was again at fault for making a piss poor attempt to challenge Benedetti for a cross but Ederson, on as a late sub, tapped in Candreva's centre. Onazi was involved in the move and it's good to see him back after Matuidi's criminal foul left him with a broken leg.

Attendance : 30,151
Red Card : Ibarbo 73 (Cagliari)
Assists : Klose, Lulic, Lulic, n/a, Benedetti, Candreva

Eder came off the bench to score the game killing goal. Eder ran 70 yards, dribbled in and around Rodriguez and Pizarro before slotting past Neto.

Di Natale scored after just 23 seconds, a super pass and poorly executed offside trap giving him his 199th career goal. Marchese equalised with a spectacular half volley from the edge of the box. Iago tapped in a rebound to give Genoa the lead but Udinese fought back to go in level at half time. Di Natale played in Widmer on the overlap and he fired first time into the left corner. Matri crashed a centre in off a post and Kucka scored the pick of the goal in a game of great goals with a blockbuster of a right foot shot that violently smashed in off the underside of the crossbar.

NAPOLI 2 (Higuain 3, Callejon 85)
ROMA 0

Garcia seems determined to hand the title to Juventus as he was deservedly punished for fielding a second string side ahead of the Bayern thrashing. Higuain pounced on a deflected cross to score with a spectacular scissor kick. Higuain curled a ball around a square defence for Callejon to continue his red hot streak in front of goal, last week's miss from a yard out notwithstanding.

Attendance : 30,000
Assists : n/a, Higuain

EMPOLI 0
JUVENTUS 2 (Pirlo 60 fk, Morata 72)

PARMA 2 (De Ceglie 5, De Ceglie 76)
INTER 0

A brace from fullback De Ceglie gave Parma, the worst team in Serie A, with seven defeats from eight games, their second win of the season and eased the pressure on Donadoni conversely increasing the pressure on Mazzarri. He got in front of the useless Obi to stab in Risoli's cross. Midway through the second half De Ceglie tapped in a rebound.
