Carew headed on a free kick and Sanchez looked miles offside when he shot
past Coupet. Carew missed an open goal, what's new? Albelda picked out Baraja
with a class through ball, Baraja rounded Coupet and tapped into an empty
net. Marlet pulled one back with a header from an awesome cross.

Olympiakos' first was a beautifully crafted goal, Zetterberg clipped in a cross
to Luciano, he controlled the ball on his chest and pulled a perfect cross back
to Ofori-Quaye who shot low past Coupet. Giovanni increased Olimpiakos' lead
with a sweet first time strike. Foe met Marlet's cross with a spectacular diving
header.

Anderson ran onto a ball over the top from Foe and shot into the bottom corner.
Heerenveen made a complete mess of a free kick, bodies were everywhere and
the ball eventually bounced off Houttuin into his own net. Talan briefly got
Heerenveen back in the match following outrageous skill by Jensen before Marlet
ended any hope of a comeback with another scrappy goal.
