MARSEILLE 2-2 CROATIA ZAGREB
Bakayoko 53 Mujcin 42
Diawara 89 Mikic 84
Mujcin put Croatia Zagreb in front from Sokota's back heel. Bakayoko equalised
thanks to Dugarry's persistence. Mikic put Zagreb back in front with a tap-in but
Diawara rescued a point when he punished awful defending from a free kick.

27 OCTOBER 1999
STURM GRAZ 3-2 MARSEILLE
Mahlic 18 Dugarry 52, 77
Kocijan 61, 84
Mahlic slid in to meet Vastic's cross to give Strum Graz a shock lead but most of
the credit must to Kocijan who played in Vastic with a beautiful disguised pass and
an equally beautiful pass by Ravanelli was centered by Pires to Drugarry for
Marseille's equaliser. Kocijan's bullet header from an awesome Vastic cross put
the Austrian's back in front. Drugarry ran onto Dalmat's beautifully weighted pass,
turned Schopp and put the ball past Shicklgruber but Kocijan capitalised on a
wicked deflection, albeit via handball, to win the match.

CROATIA ZEGREB 1-2 MAN UNITED
Prosinecki 90 Beckham 32
Keane 49

19 OCTOBER 1999
MARSEILLE 1-0 MAN UNITED
Gallas 69
Scholes should have been sent off for a murderous two footed tackle. Ravanelli
went close with a free kick and wasted a great chance when the ball broke to him
in the box following great play by Dalmat. Dalmat had a hand in the winner, his
superb flick put in Gallas and he blasted a shot with the outside of his foot past
Bosnich. Solskjaer had Man United's best effort but was denied by Porato's save
and had a goal disallowed for offside.

29 SEPTEMBER 1999
MAN UNITED 2-1 MARSEILLE
Cole 79 Bakayoko 40
Scholes 83
Bakayoko pounced on a mistake from Berg to give Marseille a shock

winner.

CROATIA ZAGREB 3-0 STURM GRAZ
Rukavina 28
Sokota 35, 57 (Pen)
Rukavina curled in a free kick although the 'keeping and lack of effort by
the defence certainly helped. Nothing could have stopped Croatia
Zagreb's second, Sokota curled a free kick into the top corner and he put
away a penalty early in the second half.
Attendance : 21,000
22 SEPTEMBER 1999
STURM GRAZ 0-3 MAN UNITED
Keane 16
Yorke 31
Cole 33
Beckham's free kick rebounded off a wall and Keane smashed in the rebound.
Yorke headed in Beckham's corner and then set up Cole for United's third after
which they stopped trying. Van Der Gouw saved a penalty from Vastic.
Attendance : 17,000
CROATIA ZAGREB 1-2 MARSEILLE
Sokota 64 Bakayoko 5
Perez 77
Bakayoko scored from Dalmat's assist, identical to the goal he created for
Ravanelli in the previous game. Sokota screwed a shot past Porato before
Perez blasted a volley past Ladic from Dalmat's cross. Dalmat is much more
than a defensive midfielder and looks to have genuine World Class potential.
It should be interesting to see how he handles (or is abused by) Keane next week.
Attendance : 25,000
14 SEPTEMBER 1999
MANCHESTER UNITED 0-0 CROATIA ZAGREB
Man United were denied a victory by two outstanding saves by Ladic from Cole and

Attendance : 53,250

work by the powerhouse Dalmat to tap-in Marseille's second.
