NORDSJAELLAND 1 (Beckmann 50)
JUVENTUS 1 (Vucinic 81)

Beckmann scored Nordsjaelland's first ever Champions League goal beating Buffon no less with a brilliant free kick. Vucinic sparred Juventus an embarrassing defeat when he met a brilliant Isla cross first time.

SHAKHTAR DONETSK 2 (Teixeira 3, Fernandinho 52)
CHELSEA 1 (Oscar 88)

David Luiz was largely at fault for the opening goal. He failed to deal with a throw in, Luiz Adriano's shot was charged down by Terry but fell kindly Teixeira. Hazard had his pocket picked in midfield by Fernandinho who gave the ball to Luiz Adriano before racing wide of Terry, as Terry and David Luiz converged on Luiz Adriano he passed to Fernandinho who steadied himself before sweeping a shot into the left corner. Hazard stepped over an Ivanovic centre and Oscar fired in the consolation goal.

Attendance : 50,000

BATE BORISOV 0
VALENCIA 3 (Soldado 46 Pen, Soldado 55, Soldado 68)

After diving for his penalty Soldado scored a brilliant second, volleying Guardado's crossfield pass into the bottom right corner. Costa made Soldado's hat-trick goal when he wrestled out of a challenge in midfield before returning Soldado's pass which the Spaniard finished with a deft flick.

Attendance : 17,000
Assists : Soldado (won pen), Guardado, Costa

LILLE 0
BAYERN MUNICH 1 (Muller 20)

Attendance : 50,000

SPARTAK MOSCOW 2 (Carioca 3, Jardel 43 og)
BENFICA 1 (Lima 33)

The Muscovite's launched a counter after Benfica carelessly gave away possession, Bilyaletdinov passed to Jurado, he laid the ball forward to Carioca on the overlap and the Brazilian nutmegged Moraes in the Benfica goal. Lima equalised with a brilliant header at the near post but ten minutes later under pressure from Ari, Jardel turned in a cross.

Attendance : 30,000
Assists : Jurado, Salvio, n/a

BARCELONA 2 (Iniesta 45, Alba 94)
CELTIC 1 (Samaras 18)

Mascherano put the ball into his own net under pressure from Samaras. Samaras was literally kicked out of the game by Busquets? who should have been sent off for a blatant foul. Celtic also had penalty appeals turned down for handball. Is anyone really surprised? Iniesta equalised on half time following neat interplay between Messi and Xavi. Awful, awful defending ironically by midget Forrest at the back post allowed UEFA's favourite team to sneak an injury time winner.

Attendance : 75,000
Assists : Mulgrew, Xavi, Correia

GALATASARAY 1 (Yilmaz 77)
CLUJ 1 (Nounkeu 19 og)

Nounkeu turned in Camora's brilliant cross. Felipe Melo missed a 35th minute penalty for handball. Yilmaz headed in the winner when Felgueiras, who gifted flat track bully RVP two goals in their previous UCL game, made another pathetic attempt to claim a cross. The only 'keeper poorer than Felgueiras on crosses in the competition is Casillas.

Attendance : 46,000
Assists : n/a, Amrabat

MANCHESTER UNITED 3 (Hernandez 25, Evans 62, Hernandez 75)
BRAGA 2 (Alan 2, Alan 20)

Alan got in front of his marker to head in a superb Viana cross. Eder crushed Carrick on the left flank with a fabulous piece of skill and he pulled back a centre after driving into the box for Alan's second. Hernandez was free at the back post to head in a Kagawa cross. Evans scrambled in the equaliser from a corner though it should have been marked as an own goal. Forgotten man Hernandez headed in the winner from a superb Cleverley cross but his goals can't mask the horrendous defending and lack of midfield bite in this United side.

Attendance : 73,195
Assists : Viana, Eder, Kagawa, n/a, Cleverley
