ROMA 1-1 ANDERLECHT
Delvecchio 52 Mornar 11

Roma had already gone close twice before Mornar gave Anderlecht the lead
with a contender for goal of the season. He received a pass Stoica and
with his first touch flicked up the ball, with his second he sent a
magnificent half volley dipping into the net, awesome, awesome, awesome
goal. Roma, who gave their best performance of the season, should have
won by a landslide. Delvecchio scored a deserved equaliser early in
the second half

Assist : Stoica

24 OCTOBER 2001

ANDERLECHT 1-5 LOKOMOTIV MOSCOW
Ilic 2 Izmailov 13
						Sennikov 28
						Pimenov 58
						Buznikin 63, 69

Crasson flicked on a cross and Ilic lashed the ball past Nigmatullin.
Izmailov's free kick, which was almost certainly a cross, evaded everyone
and sailed into the net. As Lekseto dithered to clear the ball from the goal
line Sennikov pounced on him to put Lokomotiv in the lead. A Real Madrid style
triangle attack coupled with Pimenov's superbly timed run to break the
offside trap gave Lokomotiv their third. Buznikin scored from a rebound then
completed the rout with a crisp first time strike on the run from Pimenov's
cross, superb finish.

Assists : Crasson, Sennikov, Pimenov

REAL MADRID 1-1 ROMA
Figo 75 (Pen) Totti 35

Candela cut inside from the left, sent Celades on his arse with a sharp dummy
and teased Sanchez before pulling the ball back to Totti, 0-1. A dodgy
penalty gave Real a share of the points. As Morientes attempted an overhead
kick Cafu tried to head the ball clear, it struck his arm and the ref pointed
to the spot.

Assist : Candela

16 OCTOBER 2001

ANDERLECHT 0-2 REAL MADRID
							Robert Carlos 19
							McManaman 35

Roberto Carlos tried his luck from outside the box and the ball deflected in off
Vanderhaeghe. McManaman scored with a spectacular volley from a deflected
cross. The build-up play beforehand was superb.

LOKOMOTIV MOSCOW 0-1 ROMA
							Cafu 78

Cafu's shot took a wicked deflection off Cherevtchenko giving Nigmatulin
no chance.

26 SEPTEMBER 2001

REAL MADRID 4-1 ANDERLECHT
Celades 49 Dindane 33
Raul 51, 68
Solari 79

Dindane didn't score the goal that shocked Europe, he scored the goal that
pissed off Real, a lob over Casillas from Stoica's pass. De Wilde blocked
Makelele's shot and Celades put away the rebound. A lucky deflection gave
Raul a tap-in and he scored a superb second, an exquisite first time chip.
Solari chipped in Real's four.

Assists : Stoica, Munitis, Celades

ROMA 2-1 LOKOMOTIV
Chugainov 69 (og) Obradovic 59
Totti 79

Obradovic headed Lokomotiv into the lead before Roma hit back for the second
time in a week thanks to substitute Guigou. Chugainov headed Guigou's cross
past his own 'keeper and the Uruguayan midfielder picked out Totti with a
perfectly weighted pass, Totti charged into the box and smashed the ball into
the roof of the net.

Assist : Guigou

19 SEPTEMBER 2001

ANDERLECHT 0-0 ROMA

Batistuta missed an open goal twice.

REAL MADRID 4-0 LOKOMOTIV
Munitis 39
Figo 64 (Pen)
Roberto Carlos 81
Savio 87

It took Real close to 40 minutes to break down Lokomotiv then the avalanche
began. Munitis with a first time strike from Raul's cross. Munitis probably dived
for the penalty (didn't see the replay). Figo converted. Roberto Carlos scored a
great third and Savio was left with a tap in when Solari's shot fell at his feet.

Wimp Raul didn't score because this season he's a winger or (excuse here).

Assists : Raul, Munitis, Savio, Solari

11 SEPTEMBER 2001

LOKOMOTIV MOSCOW 1-1 ANDERLECHT
Maminov 18 Hendrix 14

Report to follow.

ROMA 1-2 REAL MADRID
Totti 73 (Pen) Figo 50
							Guti 63

Roma's first two matches this season have sucked and for 50 minutes this
continued the trend. Figo broke the deadlock when his free kick sailed past
Pelizzoli. Guti then profited on non marking and a perfect Figo cross to
score Real's second. Totti blasted a consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Assists : Raul, Figo, Zebina
