CELTIC 4-3 JUVENTUS

Del Piero scored the opening goal with a magnificent, curling free kick. Moravcik turned Paramatti inside out twice before floating a cross into the box which was met by Valgaeren's diving header, 1-1. Celtic took the lead following another immaculate delivery by Moravcik this time from a corner. Trezeguet smashed Juve level with a left foot strike following a swift move between Amoruso and Maresca. Celtic were awarded a penalty for absolutely nothing. 'The best striker in Europe' converted. Sutton won the tie with a magnificent left foot volley. Trezeguet scored his second following a couple of lucky deflections but Celtic held on in vain.

Assists : Del Piero, Moravcik (x2), Amoruso, Sutton, Balde

JUVENTUS 3-1 PORTO

Downright terrible defending allowed Porto to take the lead. Soderstrom won a free kick wide on the left about 25 yds from goal. Clayton stepped up and sent the ball into the box where the entire Juve defence and Buffon managed to miss it, 0-1. Del Piero equalised with a brilliant free kick. Montero climbed over the Porto defence to head in Del Piero's corner. Nedved pressed Rafael into loosing the ball and centred for Trezeguet to score to third.

Assists : Soderstrom, Nedved (x2), Del Piero

ROSENBORG 2-0 CELTIC

Brattbakk came back to haunt his former club. Rushfeldt flicked on a long ball and Douglas' slip left Brattbakk with an easy chance. The second was a tap-in after the unlucky Douglas had parried Rushfeldt's shot. Douglas made a brilliant save from a Skammelsrud penalty.

Assist : Rushfeldt

PORTO 3-0 CELTIC

Clayton couldn't believe his luck when the humongous Balde missed Capucho's cross giving him an easy header in front of goal. Another mistake by Balde gave Porto another goal. He headed a corner straight out into the middle of the box and Mario Silva smashed the ball past Douglas. A marvellous third. Clayton played the ball into Deco who returned it with a beautiful rolled pass and he thrashed a left foot shot in off the crossbar.

Assists : Capucho, Deco

ROSENBORG 1-1 JUVENTUS

Juve missed a ton of chances. 0-4 would have flattered Rosenborg. Zenoni and Salas slipped in the box when shooting for goal. Del Piero hit the crossbar and went close with a free kick. Juve finally took the lead five minutes from time. There was a suspicion of handball from Trezeguet as he controlled Tacchinardi's pass and squared for Del Piero who scored in off the post. Brattbakk hurled himself over Buffon to win a penalty - emphatically converted by Skammelsrud. Brattbakk gave Tacchinardi a slap in the face in the closing minutes. He'll be lucky to get away with it.

Assists : Trezeguet, Brattbakk

JUVENTUS 3-2 CELTIC

Salas, who looks like such a twat with that big girly hairband, abused Valgaeren and centred for Trezeguet, 1-0. Del Piero picked up the ball on the left wing and found himself face to face with the ENORMOUS Balde (6ft 3in, 206lbs) so he shit himself, ran away and sent a deep cross into the box, Trezeguet is just awesome in the air, 2-0. Sutton cleverly re-directed Petrov's deflected free kick past Buffon. Davids was sent off for fouling Larsson. He shouldn't have been playing in the first place (Davids not Larsson). The ref probably got sick of turning down several penalty appeals by the away side so dreamed one up. 'Europe's top scorer' (that's official you know) converted from the spot. Valgaeren then threw away what should have been a well earned point by stupidly grabbing Amoruso in the box, a higher power (gravity) pulled Amoruso down. To add insult to stupidity, Amoruso smashed the ball past Doughlas.

"The Scots were energetic and gave us real problems. We should not be ashamed to say it even if we played a good part of the game with ten men. We were lucky to find that penalty" - Marcello Lippi

"It was an extraordinary decision. I'm sure when the referee sees it on TV he'll realise I'm right. It was shocking. I couldn't believe it when he pointed to the spot. The player was a foot away from the ball." - Martin O'Neill

Assists : Salas, Del Piero, Petrov, Sutton, Amoruso

ROSENBORG 1-2 PORTO

Crap defending and a great throughball gave Porto an early lead. Deco headed in Porto's second from an absolutely awesome, awesome, awesome first time cross by Mario Silva. Rushfeldt headed in a free kick.

Assists : Deco, Mario Silva, ?
