Dani bundled in Barca's first from Mota's pass.  Haspolatli headed in Unsal's
teasing cross to equalise. Balic missed an open goal after donkey de Boer
fell on his arse when attempting to cut out a cross. Gerard headed in Mota's
corner. Third choice striker Geovanni sent a fantastic 30yd shot into the net.

Barca become the only team to win all their games. It won't last long into
Phase 2.

It was colder than a polar bear's tit in Moscow, the pitch was covered in a
blanket of snow and there was no respite from up above either as it kept
falling all through the match. I got cold just watching it. Evseev hit a ball
forward, a Brugge defender missed and Julio Cesar rounded Verlinden and
tapped into an empty net. Cesar could have had a hat-trick but for an inspired
display by Verlinden in the Brugge goal. Loskov scored via a deflection in
injury time then dived in the snow and his team-mates preceded to rub his
face in it, nice touch.

Riquelme made it five wins out for Barca with a fabulous goal. He received
a pass from Gerard flicked the ball away from Englebert Humperdink,
skipped past Clement and cracked the ball inside the post. Enke made
a phenomenal save in injury time to deny Brugge a share of the points.

Loskov rounded Mondragon and tapped into an empty net. Hasan Sas fired
Gala level with an excellent shot from Felipe's through pass. Eseev restored
Lokomotiv's lead when he headed in a corner.

2nd place is up for grabs. A win in Moscow for Lokomotiv over Brugge should
see them go through unless Barca throw their final match.

Lokomotiv dominated the first half. Cesar should have done better when clean
through on goal. Obiorah hit the woodwork and was denied a certain goal by
one of the best pieces of defending EVER. Obiorah ran onto a superb long ball,
rounded Banana and with only Puyol between him and the goal he shot but
Puyol blocked with his chest. Barca scored with their first chance, De Boer
heading in from a Riquelme free kick. Saviola hit the woodwork late on, 1-0
was cruel enough.

Martens scored at the end of the first half when Gala made a hash of clearing
a corner. Pinto equalised with a tap-in. Bulent cleared off the line. Verheyen
muscled Emre off the ball and beat Mondragon with a wonderfully placed lob.
Saeternes added a third in injury time.

Kluivert stole the ball off Luis Enrique to shoot Barca into the lead. Midget
Saviola headed in from a Xavi cross and finished off a counter attacking move
started by a punt downfield from Barcelona 'keeper Valdes. Obiorah scored
an excellent consolation goal when he managed to brush aside Puyol and lob
Barca's 'keeper from close range.

Barcelona are like Juventus i.e. pretenders. They're good at beating up jobbers
but when they face better opposition in the next Phase they'll be exposed.

Two Gala defenders attacked a cross and took Kluivert and the ball with
them, Kluivert managed to keep his balance, turned and fired past
Mondragon. Christian missed a glorious chance before Luis Enrique
finished Gala off with a header from a corner.

Sarr, on loan from Terim's former club Milan, headed Gala into the lead 90
seconds after coming on as a substitute. Nizhegorodov failed to cut out
Ergun's through pass and Arif screwed the ball into the corner of the net.

Luis Enrique blasted in a rebound after Motta's shot had cannoned off Martens.
Humperdink won a penalty with a total dive in the box, Simons converted.
Mendieta put Barca back in front with a free kick. Saviola scored a third after
some outstanding tight dribbling in the box. Humperdink scored a second for
the Belgians via a deflection off Puyol.
