ROMA 5 (Iturbe 6, Gervinho 10, Maicon 20, Gervinho 31, Ignashevich 50)
CSKA MOSCOW 1 (Musa 82)

Iturbe beat the CSKA offside trap before tapping Gervinho's pass wide of Akinfeev. Four minutes later he returned the favour as two CSKA defenders watched Gervinho collect his centre, turn and shoot. Maicon played a one-two with Iturbe before firing at Akinfeev at his near post from a bad angle but he almost dismissively slapped at the ball and it flew through his fingers into the net. Totti released Gervinho with a glorious first time pass and he cut in from the right flank, checked inside a defender, sending his sprawling then beat Akinfeev with another shot he should have saved. A shameful performance from Russia's #1. Ignashevich, under pressure from Florenzi, headed Torosidis' cross into his own net. Musa was off balance as he stumbled between two defenders and shot over De Sanctis, Roma's weak link.

Russian's are the most mentally fragile sportsmen in the World. One early setback and they crumble. Pathetic.

AJAX 1 (Schone 74)
PSG 1 (Cavani 14)

Lucas Moura fouled Boilesen as he struggling to control a longball, Ibrahimovic blasted his centre against a defender and Cavani slammed in the rebound. PSG missed half a dozen chances, Moura most guilty of poor finishing. Shone hit an absolute crackerjack of a free kick into the top left corner of Sirigu's net. He almost won it minutes later when, from absolutely miles out, his free kick smashed against the inside of the right post, flew across goal and was headed off the line by Marquinhos.

CHELSEA 1 (Fabregas 11)
SCHALKE 1 (Huntelaar 62)

Mourinho paid the price for resting Costa and fielding the embarrassing Drogba in his place. Fabregas fouled Meyer, Hazard gathered the ball and ran into the penalty area before playing in the Spaniard with a reverse pass and Fahrmann failed to parry a shot that was straight at him. In a moment of delicious irony, Fabregas dived under minimal contact from THE HUNTER, he raced forward as Draxler dribbled past Ramires with ease and returned the ball, Cahill kept backing off as THE HUNTER ran into the box and swept a shot past Courtois.

Drogba was a ludicrous, overly romantic signing. He was past it 2012, people remember his UCL performances yet he only scored five league goals. Remy and Costa came on late in the second half but Chelsea didn't put what has been a porous Schalke defence under enough pressure.

PORTO 6 (Brahimi 5, Brahimi 32, Martinez 37, Brahimi 57, Adrian 61, Aboubakar 76)
BATE BORISOV 0

Chernik's farcical mistake was deservedly punished by Brahimi. His throw out was woefully short and Brahimi raced past Polyakov before lashing the ball into the roof of the net. Brahimi's second was a stunning solo effort. He was released on the counter attack and from the half way line raced infield, beat two players and drilled low in off the right post. Fantastic goal. Jackson Martinez sent Porto into a 3-0 half time lead with a bullet heat at the near post. Brahimi showed their was more to his game than staggering pace when he completed his hat-trick with a right footed free kick. Atletico Madrid reject Adrian poked in the fifth and Aboubakar lashed in the sixth following good work by Tello, on loan from Barcelona.
