Bravo made a fantastic save to parry Rolfes' bullet header but he pounced to scramble in the rebound. Vela dived to win a penalty, which Leno saved but the Arsenal reject tapped in the rebound. Bravo, one of the few Sociedad players with genuine quality, was beaten all ends up by a magnificent free kick seconds from the end.

Rakytskyi made a hash of clearing a cross and Wellbeck shot United into the lead. Shakhtar's equaliser was almost identical, Vidic couldn't clear a centre although the ball came too quick for him to do anything about it and Taison smashed in the rebound.

Barzagli underhit a backpass, Buffon raced out of the box, Drogba touched the ball past him and shot into an empty met. Vidal hammered home a penalty awarded for a foul on Quagliarella and Quagliarella headed in a Pirlo cross to give Juve the lead for the first time in the game. A minute later Drogba headed on a longball and Bulut fired past Buffon to equalise.
Juve are mental midgets in Europe, just like Inter were pre Mourinho which is doubly ironic as today they faced a Galatasaray side now coached by Mancini.

Kozacik tried to trap a backpass, hit with no pace whatsoever, and missed the ball completely. The goalkeeping blunders continued as at the other end Akinfeev punched a cross against a Plzen player (Teci) and Bakos headed into an empty net.

Bayern were the better team and overwhelming favourites to win but nevertheless Hart conspired against City with another dreadful display. Muller beat City's offside trap, Hart jumped at him doing his starfish impression and he took the ball wide before tapping into an empty net. Kroos tackled Fernandinho before passing to Robben, he turned Nastasic inside out and Hart once again failed to make a routine save at his near post. Negredo scored with a brilliant shot in off the left post. Boateng was sent off for committing a last man foul on Toure.
