BOLOGNA 3 (Gilardino 17, Gabbiadini 26, Pasquato 54)
ROMA 3 (Florenzi 9, Osvaldo 18, Tachtsidis 74)

A pass out of defence hit Florenzi and he played a one-two with Totti before curling past Agliardi. Gilardino tapped in a rebound after a longball caused panic in the Roma defence but then what doesn't? Osvaldo headed in a Pjanic cross to restore Roma's lead but Bologna were quickly level again when Gabbiadini beat a poorly positioned Goicoechea. Pasquato smashed in a loose ball to give Bologna the lead for the first time but Tachtsidis punished more poor goalkeeping to head in another equaliser. Diamanti hit the woodwork twice with free kicks as struggling Roma held on.

FIORENTINA 1 (Migliaccio 21)

Things started well for Montella on his return to Catania when Migliaccio headed in a Pasquale cross but Neto, who has been awful in recent weeks, rushed out for a free kick and jumped without any conviction when challenging the imposing Legrottaglie who promptly headed into an empty net. Castro got above Roncaglia to head in a Barrientos cross and move Catania within a point of Fiorentina who are now themselves a point behind 5th placed Milan having been third earlier in the season.

PARMA 1 (Cannavaro 74 og)
NAPOLI 2 (Hamsik 20, Cavani 84)

Having shaped to shoot Dzemaili instead threaded a disguised pass through for Hamsik to poke Napoli into the lead. Sansone's centre deflected in off Cannavaro but Parma's stupid high line was finally beaten when Cavani ran onto a Insigne through ball, rounded Mirante an tapped into an empty net to bring the last remaining unbeaten home record to an end and bring Napoli to within 3 points of Juventus.

SAMPDORIA 6 (Eder 31 Pen, Icardi 42, Obiang 50, Icardi 56, Icardi 58, Icardi 71)
PESCARA 0

Terlizzi fouled Gastaldello to concede the penalty. Icardi flicked an Obiang pass around Capuano before racing 50 yards upfield and scoring. Obiang struck a loose ball with a lovely first time shot which curled into the bottom corner. It was the Spanish midfielder's first goal in Serie A. The youngsters continued to torment Pescara. Obiang sending Icardi clear off the Pescara offside trap for his second goal and two minutes later he completed his first Serie A hat-trick from Eder's centre. Soriano mugged a defender as he tried to dribble out of danger and fed Icardi for a historic fourth.

INTER 2 (Chivu 5 fk, Cambiasso 66)
TORINO 2 (Meggiorini 23, Meggiorini 52)

Chivu, yes he is still playing, gave Inter the perfect start with a brilliant free kick. Meggiorini, who hasn't scored in 28 rounds since a goal against who else but Inter in 2011 blasted in the equaliser after Barreto caught Guarin dithering on the edge of his penalty area and centred. Meggiorini got between Inter's useless centrebacks Ranocchia and Juan Jesus to slide in Cerci's centre. Cambiasso equalised following a storming slow motion run by Zanetti. Inter probably should have been awarded a penalty for a foul on Ranocchia but Torino would have took all three points but for Handanovic.

Attendance : 40,128
Assist : Cassano (won fk), Barreto, Cerci, Zanetti

JUVENTUS 1 (Quagliarella 54)
GENOA 1 (Borriello 67)

Juve looked to have recovered from their post Chiellini nightmare after whacking Udinese last week but it took 54 minutes for them to break down Genoa. Lichtsteiner pulled back a centre and Quagliarella's shot went in off a defender. Juve's left side was again exposed for the equaliser. Kucka beat De Ceglie to a loose ball, ran around then inside the box before crossing to the back post for Juve reject Borriello to equalise. Juve were jobbed out of a penalty when Granqvist handled in the dying seconds.

Having agreed a deal to bring in Llorente on a free transfer in the summer Juve have gone and signed ANELKA on a 6 month deal because a streaky, moody striker is just what they need to resolve their goalscoring problems. More than anything else they need a left back because since Chiellini has gone down they've been awful.

Assists : Lichtsteiner, Kucka
