CAGLIARI 2 (Pinilla 11, Pinilla 39 Pen)
FIORENTINA 1 (Cuadrado 73)

Fiorentina failed to clear their lines from a corner, Ekdal headed the ball back into the box, Pinilla ran across goal and flicked up the ball with his right foot before violently lashing a high volley into the roof of the net. Tremendous shot. Sau was fouled for the penalty. The Cagliari defence went to sleep on a throw in and Cuadrado acrobatically sent a bouncing ball past Agazzi

Attendance : 14,000
Assists : Ekdal, Sau (won pen), Pasqual (throw in)

GENOA 2 (Borriello 6, Jankovic 72)
SIENA 2 (Emeghara 44, Rosina 52 Pen)

Borriello scored the day's first goal with a deflected free kick. Paci headed down a cross and Emeghara hammered a shot at Frey and the ball slipped through his fingers. Bovo jumped on Sestu to concede the penalty. Immobile ran down the left before pulling back a centre for the equaliser.

Attendance : 20,000
Assists : n/a, Paci, Sestu (won pen), Immobile

INTER 1 (Palacio 54)
JUVENTUS 2 (Quagliarella 3, Matri 60)

Ranocchia dived into to cut out an Asamoah through ball but missed, Marchisio spun away to dummy the ball and Quagliarella sent a 25 yard shot rocketing past Handanovic. Another great goal from the World's most spectacular goalscorer. Cassano slipped a great ball across Vidal to the onrushing Palacio who didn't break his stride as he ran into the box and pushed a shot inside the right post. As Pereira ran from his left back position to close down Vidal he left Quagliarella in space on the right of the penalty box, Vidal gave him a pass, Quagliarella centred and Matri casually ran past Ranocchia to beat Handanovic at his near post. Farcical defending from a shit Inter side that owe their league position largely to Handanovic.

Attendance : 79,341
Red Card : Cambiasso 94 (Inter)
Assists : Asamoah, Cassano, Quagliarella

LAZIO 2 (Legrottaglie 79 og, Candreva 81 Pen)
CATANIA 1 (Izco 50)

Izco punished sloppy defending on the edge of the Lazio penalty area to give the visitors the lead. Legrottaglie turned a Radu centre into his own net and Catania, just as they had against Inter, collapsed under pressure as two minutes later Ederson threw himself over Bellusci to win the penalty.

Attendance : 25,820
Assists : n/a, n/a, Ederson

PALERMO 2 (Ilicic 21, Miccoli 35)
ROMA 0

Miccoli flicked the ball away from Piris before finding Ilicic with a magnificent crossfield pass, he killed the ball stone dead with the outside of his left foot, took a touch past a defender than slammed a low shot inside the right post. Great goal. Piris was again made to look the fool on Palermo's second goal. Ilicic knocked the ball past him before drilling a low centre across goal and Miccoli fired home from six yards to end Andreazzoli's unbeaten start as Roma coach.

Attendance : 15,436
Assists : Miccoli, Ilicic

PARMA 3 (Benalouane 17, Paletta 52, Amauri 65)
PESCARA 0

Benalouane took advantage of some shocking defending to head Parma into the lead from a corner. Parma's second also came via a corner, Paletta smashing home a loose ball and injuring a team-mate in the process on the follow through. Marchionni chipped a cross into Amauri, he had back to goal, bounced the ball off his chest, jumped into the air and sent an overhead kick looping over Pelizzoli. Brilliant goal.

TORINO 3 (Barreto 30, Jonathas 74 Pen, Meggiorini 78)
NAPOLI 5 (Dzemaili 10, Dzemaili 47, Dzemaili 80, Cavani 84, Cavani 90)

Insigne rolled a corner to Dzemaili who was standing about 25 yards from goal, he stepped into the ball and crashed a right foot shot into the top left corner. Fantastic goal. Barreto punished typically crap Napoli defending, which started with a ridiculous Behrami header, to equalise. Gillet dived to his left to make a brilliant save from a Hamsik penalty. Hamsik pulled back a Zuniga pass for Dzemaili to score with another first time shot. Cavani handled to concede the penalty and Meggiorini picked Dzemaili's pocket and he was slow to react to a Cerci through ball, rounded De Sanctis and tapped into an empty net. Dzemaili completed his first (?) Serie A hat-trick with, yes you guessed it, a thunderous first time shot. After the referee took an absolute age to set the wall from a free kick Cavani thumped a shot inside Gillet's right post. A counter attack finished off Torino. Hamsik won the ball and carried it past the centre circle before passing to Pandev, Pandev spread the play out wide to Armero and Cavani headed his cross into the bottom right corner.

Dzemaili is a former Torino player, you'd think their defence would know of his prowess from distance.
